My wife and I spent a night at the Bellbird Lodge during our 2 week honeymoon in New Zealand. I chose the Bellbird because of its proximity to Abel Tasman, as well as the positive reviews on here and the photos of the incredible views. Everything I saw/read was spot-on, and Brian and Anthea were some of the nicest people...

We spent two nights at Bellbird, and absolutely loved every minute. Booking several months ahead, Anthea was able to help book us a table at a fantastic restaurant in Marahau, give us advice on hikes at Abel Tasman, and prepare us for our trip to the area. Upon arrival, Brian met us and welcomed us in, showing us around the...

This was our second visit and needless to say it was great the first time which is why we stayed there again. Stunning views and very peaceful, beautiful decor and Amanda always has some fresh scones, cakes and tea/coffee on hand to serve you. Then there is nibbles with complimentary wine in the late afternoons. The breakfasts are also stunning....

Beautiful garden. Outstanding homemade breakfasts and a fun happy hour. Did an AquaTaxi outdoor tour with 6 others (7 mile kayak trip and a...

Nah, we're not of royal bloodline, but we sure we're treated as if we were. Beautifully appointed accommodations. Clean-comfort-luxurious-views-vista-welcomed-knowledgeable-private are some of the words to describe. My college aged daughter was "blown away"..."mom, how do you find such great places to stay!" Homemade chocolate cake on arrival. Bed turned down each night. Homemade breakfast custom to our likes and our...

Brian and Anthea give their guests such a warm welcome you tend to forget you're a paying guest. They give help and advice along with their chatty stories and put such a lot in to their business whilst making it seem effortless. The breakfasts were amazing and varied with such beautiful presentation we had to photograph it before eating! Bellbird...

We stayed at Bellbird Lodge in February as part of a 3-week touring holiday of both islands. We found many parts of New Zealand stunning, and the Abel Tasman area is up there with best. Anthea and Brian were attentive hosts, keen not only to give us a comfortable stay but help us plan and even book local restaurants and...

Anthea and Brian are excellent hosts who run a top notch establishment and really look after their guests. The location is superb looking out over Tasman Bay to one side and over Takaka Hill to the other. Anthea and Brian helped us plan our visit to the Abel Tasman area so that we could maximise every moment of our time....
