Just outside the city of Worcester The Elms Hotel & Greenhouse Spa is making a statement on what it means to be a country house hotel for the 21st century. Honouring all that’s great about the English countryside (preserved, listed architecture, manicured lawns, acres of parkland, decadent traditions such as afternoon tea and cocktails), there’s nothing formulaic about this rural escape. Quirky design touches and surprising bonus features – such as the three-bedroom, six-person apartment-style Gladstone Suite – set the hotel apart. And each individually designed bedroom and suite in the Queen Anne mansion is nothing short of utter luxury facing views of the gardens and beyond to Teme Valley. Additional accommodations include the Hot Tub Garden rooms tucked away in the coach houses. Cosy and romantic, with direct access to the gardens, these rooms are the ideal choice for romancing couples and those who wish to bring the dog along. Take a little stroll behind the mansion to discover the self-contained, eco-conscious Greenhouse Spa where all manner of massages, body wraps, body scrubs, facials, and manicures take place, and healthy, light bites are served. But for something a little more indulgent, the mansion’s AA Rosette-awarded restaurant, The Herb Garden, presents a menu showcasing a modern interpretation of classic British dishes overseen by one of the UK’s most talented chefs. And more relaxed, rustic dining is available in the Badger Bar & Grill. Warning: expert pastry chefs create sweet treats you’ll be powerless to resist!

We received an impersonal email in March 2021, cancelling our wedding in July 2021 with only 4 months notice. We have now been left without a wedding venue and cannot book elsewhere due to such short notice. Offered a refund but it has been 5 days and no one has responded to our communication. A huge lack of compassion and terrible customer service.

Hotel's Favourite
My partner and I have just returned home from an over night stay at the Elms Hotel. We had the Epicurean suite (room 3) and can honestly say it is the nicest room we've ever stayed in. The attention to detail, the decor and the overall vibe of the room is second to none. We will definitely be booking a return stay in this room and have already recommended it to our friends. It's the perfect room for couples looking for a romantic break together. We were lucky enough to spend some time in their newly refurbished spa and this is equally as stunning. The girls are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. We both had a treatment each, full body massage and the Elemis facial, both faultless. We didn't get chance to eat in the restaurant during the evening but we spent some time in the bar area and had some drinks. Little things like the comfy chairs, candles, snug area and background music just make the most perfect ambience. We both had the full English breakfast this morning and it was all freshly cooked and come out nice and hot. The ladies working in the restaurant were very attentive and kept topping up our tea and coffee. We look forward to visiting again and thank you for an unforgettable stay 😊

Cancelled our wedding, originally booked in February 2019....rearranged for September 2021...and cancelled 6 months before via an impersonal generic email...not due to covid...not due to finances...but because they are "decorating". Absolutely appalling care and customer service towards previously loyal patrons. Disgusting service.

I feel it is worth mentioning to any potential visitors, that this hotel or spa moreso, are not very welcoming of families. After visiting once a week with 3 very well behaved children, for 3 months, we were told the policy had changed and that we could only take 2 children "very occasionally." This in itself is fine, they don't want children there, but we shouldn't have been told they were welcome for 3 months prior to this. We felt there was no leeway and we were being penalised, so had no choice but to cancel. They did this without question which made it obvious they were just glad to get rid of the problem. I never complained about a thing, but now wishing I'd been one of those that had made a fuss, because for the price paid, I wouldnt expect the pool to be cold on more than one occasion, the steam room working sporadically, sauna never worked at all. Coffee and milk more often than not run out, flimsy, cheap shower curtains. The staff were sweet but not so welcoming, and now I get the idea why. A real shame that our money wasn't good enough.
