I guided recently seven people on a trip in Panama. I read about Rancho Estero and wanted to give it a try. Even before my visit I was surprised by them being overdemanding with booking. I was in panamian mountains, one day before coming to Santa Catalina, without internet and they pushed me when I called them to pay booking...

Dear Radek, I am very sorry about your bad experience with us. I just want to clarify the situation a little bit. We are a small hotel of only 6 cabins and half of them were already occupied. I think it is not unusual to ask for a deposit if a big group wants to reserve several cabins. And that...

It was very easy to get to Santa Catalina from Panama city. There are several buses a day. Elli from Rancho sent me all the necassary information to get to this magical place. Its about 15-20min easy walk from "town" along the beach road to playa estero. I'm absolutely happy that I booked a whole week and really enjoyed staying...

We absolutely loved our stay at Rancho Estero. First of all the people who work there are phenomenal. Elli and Zigor are personable, friendly, helpful and sweet. They were always around and always made sure we felt comfortable. The location is right by the water, unlike many other places in Santa Catalina. Waking up to the view of the water...

We loved our stay at Rancho Estero & wish we could have stayed longer. There are 6 cabins on the property, but we elected to stay in the new wooden versions. They are very nice & include a private bathroom. Inside are two double beds with a third double bed in the annex. You can sleep very easily with cool...

We came to this place in December 2016 and had a fabulous time there. Our bungalow overlooked the beautiful beach Playa Estero. The little cabins are simple but idyllic and there are hammocks everywhere. The outdoor kitchen is fully equipped and there is free coffee in the morning. Furthermore, the hosts are super friendly. They even went surfing with me...

We spent 4 nights at Rancho Estero and really enjoyed it. It was calm and relaxing as it is located directly at the beach and there aren't that many beds (= not that many guests), so it is nice to hang out in the garden without plenty of other people around. The surfing lessons were awesome and we had a...

It's simply the best :) We stayed in very basic bamboo hut with shared bathroom and we loved it. Bed was not very comfortable but OK. There was almost no light in our hut because of some electrical issue but who cares? We spend most of time on the beach and in hommocks on the sundeck .The view on Estero...

This place is pretty fantastic. It is perfect for hanging out and relaxing after a day of surfing or snorkeling or diving. Picture swinging in the hammocks overlooking the beach outside your own little bamboo hut. If you get too hot you can just wander down to the beach, which is generally pretty empty of people because you're far enough...

Rancho Estero is fantastically situated a bit out of town right above Playa Estero, a beautiful surf beach. We stayed in one of the new wooden cabins which was basic but more than adequate. The shared kitchen area could have been better (cleaner and better equipped) and there could have been more loungers on the lovely deck, but we were...
