We only had one night here but it was worth the 40 minute drive from the airport just for the beautiful location and the amazing setting of the hotel. Very cozy and comfortable. Has a sitting room for looking out the window with coffee or tea. The rooms were very comfortable for my whole family of 5. Wish we had...

Myself and 2 friends stayed at this hotel. We actually booked it by mistake but where so happy we did in the end. The hotel is a family owned business. The place is authentic. Clean with so much charm. The food is cooked by the family and omg it's amazing. Dinner is 3 course and is cheap for Iceland. The...

The hotel is located on the outskirt of the Reykjavik right next to a lake and not far from horse riding trails. The location is quiet but access to the city can be met via the bus service or taxi. The hotel is clean, staff were friendly. The rooms have their own styles, beds are comfy and the heating and...

We had an awesome time in this Hotel. As we managed to enjoy the wonderful views of the mountains from this Hotel, plus have a memorable holiday. DOH!! Don't forget meals were outstanding too. The staff, were very 'down to earth' & they pointed us in many directions from walking round the Lake ( local record is 2 hours -...

We stayed at Hotel Kriunes in November 2016. We were welcomed not as a customer but as a guest. The hotel itself was very unique and cosy. There was lots of facilities for you to enjoy around the hotel if you fancied staying close by as it was a fair distance from the center of town but worth the journey...

If you want the best of both being near to the city but beautiful surroundings I would definitely recommend. The staff are friendly and offer a northern lights wake up call. We ate at the hotel restaurant one of the nights we stayed and there was a good selection of food, the fish was the tastiest bit! Free tea and...

Clean, kind, well managed..nothing bad..just a little far from my taste but it's personal. It is in the middle between an hotel and a guest house, my room wasn't nothing special and not particularly conformable but again...still a good deal. Very nice common areas

Firstly, this is a Hotel with a difference. The view is fantastic, and really stands out from any other Hotel, in Iceland. The food was very tasty, and filling. If we wanted more, there was enough for seconds. The guest services were excellent. Considering I managed to have a carry on style holiday, they were very helpful, and the only...

My husband and I spent our first night at Kriunes, and I wished we had stayed there for our entire trip! It was evident that the proprietors were passionate about their property, the area and doing everything to insure our time spent was memorable! Our room was beautiful, the view was breathtaking, from our room and from the common rooms!...
