The Kirkton Barns B and B was amazing! The rooms were so lovely and we really enjoyed the artwork around this historical house as well. The gardens were so nice to walk around in, and the hosts always helpful and interested! Dining area and food delightful-lots of oo-ing and ah-ing here!! Bucolic scenery abounds!

Out stay at James' family home. We were greeted warmly and James even had a folder of the menus for all nearby restaurants for dinner. The sitting room downstairs was lovely and big, very warm and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was large and contained everything you could need. My mother had one bedroom, and I...

We visited Tayport for a family Christening and needed a base for 2 days. We are so glad we chose Kirkton Barns! James and his father Rory are outstanding hosts, delivering the epitome of Scottish Hospitality. Their home is beautiful, a true gem. We stayed in the family room (spread across two floors), which had everything you needed and more,...

Sadly was only able to stay one night at Kirkton Barns Country House. Would loved to have stayed longer. Hospitality at its best, the family were very welcoming and friendly, they simply couldn't have been more attentive and especially towards my 91 year old father, he was full of praises and was very sorry to leave. The property itself has...

We booked 2 rooms via Laterooms & had all the details confirmed by email. Imagine our disappointment when (10 days later) we received an email to say that the B&B had been double booked & our booking could no longer be honoured. Yes, I said 10 days, real efficient admin! At that point, we were to be offered alternative accommodation....

We were just on a quick trip for the weekend and stayed here overnight. The house was just gorgeous. Loved the room we stayed in. The view out the windows of the deer in the field and listening to the birds singing was a great way to wake up in the morning. :D A great selection for breakfast too. James...

Not really easy to find, it was at least a very nice and comfortable stay there. John is a real professional in his job and very helpfull to find interresting places to go. Very nice garden, which we unfortunatelly could not use due to the weather. Very good breakfast, also for the guys from the "continent" with cheese and Salami...

Fantastic B&B set in a lovely old country house and farm. The bed was comfy, food was delicious and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful views around the rolling countryside and plenty of parking for my van! Ideally placed between Dundee and St Andrews. I would certainly stay here again in the future!

We stayed at Kirkton Barns Country House for 3 nights, the room was large and well decorated. It was nice to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble for our host James. His father Rory is a lovely man with lots of stories. Both had great knowledge of the local area. I arrived by train and got a...

Nice, clean old fashioned guest house. This is someones house with all the family photos and memories around. The farm is next door and a noisy machine was on most the time. also not that it mattered but the car got very dusty from the farm. Two gentlemen (father and son) run the establishment and were very helpful. Everyone sits...
