Stayed at the penwig for 3 nights b&b, firstly the parking is behind the hotel which isn't sign posted. Drive around the block to a pink building then you can see a sign for the hotel, be warned the carpark is very small ! We were greated pleasantly but had to wait to be seen to our room, not a...

We popped down to New Quay for the day from my home in Warwickshire to close our static caravan down for the winter. My son and I completed the job quicker than expected so decided to pop into the Penwig for a bite to eat before our 41/2 hour drive home. We kept it simple and ordered the burger. When...

We have visited the Penwig for over 20 years. Over the last few months it has declined drastically as regards to the pub and meals. On Saturday night it was the fireworks display and obviously the resort would be very business. The Penwig did not think so. Only one person serving behind the bar although the bar was 4 deep....

Called in the Penwig for lunch today. Placed the order at the bar and sat outside because we had dogs, and despite the fact that only 2 front of house were on duty our drink were brought to the table within a few minutes as was the cutlery. As for the food we waited, and waited and waited.... eventually we...

Great pub great food great service. Always come here when we visit mother & father in law in Newquay. Friendly staff. Beautiful views in the summer. Recommended for family's and couples. Parking is difficult in the summer but the car park is only a short walk away. We will be back next year

Just had a roast dinner here I had the toughest beef I've ever eaten! The so called roast potatoes were not cooked enough and lacked the roasted look. The rest of the meal was ok. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Well I really don't know where to start! This used to be fabulous for food but not anymore. We live fairly local to the Penwig and it's always our first choice for a simple quick meal. The last 3 visits have been awful, frustrating and even embarrassing. About 5-6 weeks ago we had family staying with us so decided to...

We visited the area for a short break and visited this hotels bar area on three separate occasions. The first night we were given menus and then when we went up to the bar staff decided to inform us that the kitchen was closed. We then returned on two other occasions just for drinks and whilst they were very nice...
