Warm welcome from the host who then showed us up to a delightful attic bedroom (shower/WC ensuite) with a separate sitting room Spotless, nicely furnished, comfy bed. Generous breakfast with plenty of choice. They also went the extra mile to accommodate a gluten free veggy diet - even providing a few gluten-free nibbles in our room. The owners are a...

We stayed at Raleigh House overnight on the way to Cornwall. It is close to Clovelly and a fraction of the price of the hotels there. This is not your average B & B. A bedroom with an en suite and a sitting room await you on the top floor. It is light, clean and airy. The hosts are friendly...

We stayed just the one night and wished we had stayed longer! Valerie and Paul were just lovely to us and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. They recommended somewhere to eat and where we were able to walk, all within a short distance from there home. Breakfast...Wow! Just lovely, thank you Paul. We stayed for one night at Raleigh House in May 2011. We wish we had stayed longer and had more of a chance to enjoy the little private suite situated on the top floor of the house. Valerie and Paul were great B&B hosts and their home is lovely. The full English breakfast was excellent. Everything in the little town...

We have been on a walking holiday for 15 days on the South West Coast Path and spent one night in this B&B. The B&B is located close to the coastpath and close to the harbor, where pubs and shops and ships can be found. The B&B-keepers both were very friendly and it was nice to meet her. The breakfast...

We come to Appledore for family visiting and have finally found our perfect b&b. The couple who run it are genuinely welcoming, the accomodation is top quality but still full of character. Very comfortable, good location and good value.

A lovely place to stay, the hosts Val and Paul are the best - what can I say, accommodation excellent, breakfast absolutely gorgeous and the accommodation excels most b and b's as the whole top floor is available complete with living room, bedroom and en-suite. I will definitely come again. And it is such a beautiful home.
