We truly enjoyed our seven nights at Campallegro, and we were very pleased to see the consistency of the facility, since nine years ago we initially stayed there when it had first opened. Things more or less look exactly as they were then. Campallegro has really matured into a very pleasant place. It was nice to begin with of course when it first opened, however the hedges and trees have now grown enough that one cannot see from the pool directly onto the terraces of the ground floor apartments. Granted at the time with three children between 6 and 12, we found that convenient, however now that the 6 year-old is 15 we don‘t need that anymore. This time we brought only the youngest. Marco has now included a pizza evening on Tuesday and a Tuscan barbecue on Thursday. He did all the cooking himself, and it was fantastic. Marco and his team were always very friendly. It was a very nice feeling to know that Marco was ready to help with any challenges his guests encountered. We arrived late in the afternoon on a Saturday, during high season and he was still able to find a decent table for us at a nearby restaurant. One of the guests had sudden car difficulties and needed repair work at a local garage in order to leave the next day. Marco took charge and ensured that the repair was made. We had the feeling that he is someone we can count on which, if you have a long ways, is always very comforting. The general atmosphere was very pleasant and we enjoyed getting to know the other guests especially during the dinner evenings. Our 15 year-old also got to know other teenagers from the Netherlands and Belgium. We highly recommend Campallegro.

I've just enjoyed a lovely week at Agriturismo Campallegro with my fiancée and little girl (2.5 years). The family run resort was perfect! Marco and Veronika could not have done any more to make us feel welcome and were always available should we need help / advice. Marco is a great chef and cooked for us on several occasions (breakfast and some evenings meals). The site itself is surrounded by a working organic farm which provides a beautiful relaxing outlook. It is also close to the beach which is at most 15 minutes walk away through pine woodland. At Agriturismo Campallegro, there is a large swimming pool with plenty of room around it for all guests. It is actually larger than swimming pools some hotels have had that i have stayed in for 10 times the number of guests. Its perfect for children, there are sheep, ponies, geese and ducks to feed and also a sand area with a climbing frame. The whole site is kept to an excellent standard and is clean and comfortable. My fiancée and i thoroughly enjoyed it, but more importantly, my daughter loved every minute. I will without a doubt be returning in the near future, my only regret being that i did not stay for longer.

We spent a week at Campallegro, as part of our 2 week stay in Tuscany. We stopped in L'Oltremare apartment, which was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children (aged 8 and 5). We had a fantastic week at this site, the accommodation was great, air-conditioning worked well, the apartment was well appointed and the outside seating area specific to our apartment generously apportioned. The location is great, suitably remote to feel as though you are part of a working farm (including animals), but only 700 metres from the nearest beach. The highlight for my kids was the pool; this is perfect for younger children, as the pool is 1.4m at its deepest, has a whirlpool and also a mushroom water feature. Marco (the owner and manager) hosts a lasagne night, a pizza night and a BBQ night which guests can sign up for. They are very reasonably priced and offer a great opportunity for the guests to mingle. We were the only English family there, but happily chatted to Dutch and German families - needless to say their English was better than ours! All in all a great trip and Marco is to be credited for going out of his way to ensure his guests have a great stay. Back in England today and missing the Tuscan sunshine already!

In the beautiful Tuscan sea area we spent our 2-week vacation in this AgriTurismo. Beautiful beaches of Vana and Cecina within short distance as well as Pisa and the city of Lucca. The agriturismo is ran by a very hospital family. Nothing is too much for them and they are extremely child friendly. We were there during the high season and the place was fully booked. Our children loved it there because they had plenty peers to play with. If you don't like the sound of children at the swimming pool, I suggest you look elsewhere. Great Italian cooking: pizza, lasagna and BBQ. Friendly prices and friendly people. Check it out!

Campallego is a small apartment complex in a rural setting on a field between Cecina and the sea. The buildings and grounds are quite new, well maintained, nicely landscaped with flowers and olive trees and include a (moderate-size) pool area as well. The owner Marco speaks a bit of English and is very helpful - we always felt welcome and cared for. The only potential downside of Campallegro is that most of the apartments are single bedroom and somewhat small for families - if you need more space be sure to book the one larger apartment. Other than that - we've been to Campallego twice already and can highly recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing and cozy vacation.
