After a very extensive review of horseback riding options in central Italy, my wife and I elected to book into Castello di Santa Cristina for 4 days of riding. What a great choice! Located on the incredibly scenic border of Tuscany, the grounds were spectacular (yes, there actually is a castle there) and the riding absolutely top notch! Tryfon, the...

My best friend and I drove down from Geneva for a weekend (next time I think we would fly). Antonio, who owns the castle and all the land was a our personal tour guide for the weekend. His horses are gorgeous and he truly cares about them and their well being. He has lived there his whole life and proved...

We just came back from a week here. The surroundings are lovely, the pool is clean but a bit too chilly for children. Our bed was pretty uncomfy and rickety. The place was fairly dirty. The cottage was self catering but with no spare work surface or sharp knives this was a bit of a joke... I found this very hard...

Thank you for your good comments about our staff & our horses. About your cottage, we are sorry for the absensce of sharp knives & the fact it wasn't clean enough for your standards. Maybe the fact that we checked you in with the cleaning still going on for not making you wait, it didn't help our staff finish properly....

As a celebration of our 50th birthdays, my friend and I decided to go on a vacation together. We began searching for horseriding vacations and Castello di Santa Cristina was our choice and what an amazing visit we had. My friend is far more experienced in the ways of horses but Kailie (our kiwi guide) made sure that we both...

I have just returned for what I can only describe as a very special time at Castello Di Santa Cristina. The horses are beautiful, well trained and properly cared for. The hacks through the countryside are just stunning. My daughter was keen to help out with the horses which was not a problem and this really made the whole experience...

My daughter and I recently stayed at Castello di Santa Cristina and had a wonderful time! (Our only regret is that we could not have stayed longer!) We took a train from Florence and felt like we were entering a fairy tale when we entered the property. We both always have high expectations and they were all exceeded by this...

We came from Rome for the weekend and found this to be perfect for a couples break. Arriving late on Friday night we took advantage of a good homemade meal with lots of wine and friendly service before going to sleep in the peaceful and comfortable room. In the morning we had a good breakfast within the little castle then...

Just spent a week at Castello di Santa Cristina and loved every moment. It’s deep in the Italian countryside and breathtakingly beautiful. We had just spent four days in very busy Rome, so Santa Cristina’s relaxing atmosphere was most welcome. We met up with some friends from the States along with our 20-year old son who had just finished his...

Whether you are looking for a place to relax, hike, mountain bike or horseback ride, this is the place to be. This working farm is situated on approximately 250 beautiful acres and there is a well preserved castle that has been in Antonello's family (the owner) since the 1700s. A tour of the castle is part of the stay and...

We were a group of family and friends and stayed here for 5 nights. The surroundings and property are very beautiful. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the horseback riding. But when it comes to the food, the wine and the coffee, that was terrible! The price was also way to high regarding the lack of quality. It is very...
