Memorable stay in Malta with rooms quality, location, food and staff key to this - Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Malta.

Rooms are very modern and we paid extra to have a room with a balcony overlooking the bay. This was money well spent as the view, especially, at sunrise and then night time with harbour lights on is very relaxing to just sit and gaze.

Location is 20 minutes from airport with easy free road parking if hiring a car. If not hiring a car there are many lovely restaurants nearby and very close to ferry to take you to Valetta as well as tour busses for the island.

Our breakfast was fabulous and service was fabulous from the whole restaurant team as well as receptionists and the housekeeping team who made a lovely surprise arrangement with balloons on my wife’s birthday. Chef could be seen and heard running the show in the kitchen and keen to help with special orders if he could. So good was the service I can still, I think, remember their names as they need to be recognised / Thanked for helping make this a lovely break for my wife and me …thank you Mark, karthik, Banu, Rasmita, Dasharat, Salina and all other colleagues. We hope to be back again one day soon and please keep up the great work … You make a big difference to your customers holidays 😎

The hotel is open for just two weeks, so everything is new!
The room is big, we had a room type -    DELUXE DOUBLE SEA VIEW includes a balcony facing the harbour. The room includes individual A/C, which is great!
More light above the toilets sink - would be appreciated. The rest of the room is well-lighted, and the design is nice and modern. A mix of black, white, and beige colures

All the hotel staff welcome you with a smile and give you a good feeling each time you pass throw the small lobby.
We had the pleasure of meeting Mark, the hotel manager,  which checks with us every day to see if everything is OK and how they can improve, which was nice.

Breakfast is served at the hotel restaurant, a waitress will welcome you and take your order for an omelette or eggs, and you will get one cup of coffee from the bar.
You also have a small buffet with some additional items, English style breakfast, unfortunately without any fresh vegetables.

The room includes a mini fridge, a water kettle, coffee, and cream. tea,
and many power and USB outlets.
Next to the work table, there is one European power outlet, which is great!
The rest of the room is equipped with UK outlets, as this is the standard for Malta.

The hotel is a city hotel located on the main street, but the noise insulation is amazing, you won't hear anything.
When you step out to the hotel,  you have many options for food and drinks, some of them with live music like - Punto Bar & Dine.

There is a small indoor and outdoor pool on the 11th floor, which we did not use, just went there to see the great view.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The location, for purposes of loads of restaurants, bars and places to just sit and people-watch within walking distance, was perfect. Yes the immediate area caters more to tourists but, when you venture out for the day, that's when you will experience the old-world charm of Malta. Busses are right there: the Valetta ferry is a 5 minute walk. If you book a higher floor, overlooking the harbour, you won't be disappointed with the view. If you are staying for a week or more, and if you can manage to spring for the cost, room 1004 is large, with a separate bedroom, two TVs (not bad if the weather keeps you indoors more than you would like or if the occupants have different tastes in viewing) and the best view in the house. It also has a large glass table and chairs. There is a supermarket 3 minutes away and the room has a fridge, so buying your own water and other beverages and keeping them cold, was easy. The staff at the front desk went above and beyond, all of them, every day. They also employ a private driver who can be booked for hotel pick up and drop off. We made arrangements with him for a private sightseeing day also.

We used this hotel as a basis for our 12 days’ stay in Malta. Location is fantastic for that, ferry to Valletta, Sightseeing Bus Lines and Malta Public Transport Bus Stopps are in close proximity.
We had a twin double room that was spacious and a modern and very functional bathroom, good hairdryer available, all up to standard. Another very excellent experience was that there were three USB plugs available, and one Europlug, so there is no need to carry an excessive number of UK adapters with you.
We had booked this hotel as well to have a pool available if our outings ended earlier in the afternoon - that was not an option for us after we had seen the small size of the pool, the few sun beds that were squeezed between the rails and the pool. The indoor pool looked unmaintained and with black moldy spots on the floor. Hotel should be rated a 3 star, the pool most certainly cannot be added as a fourth star.
Breakfast was somewhat basic and limited, but all in all ok. Just the long queues at the coffee machine might make management reconsider if one machine is enough if the hotel is fully booked.

Great Location for ferries and visiting Valetta, welcome by reception great and informative even though at 02.00am in the morning. Fantastic room and facilities, breakfast was a pleasure and everything you could ask for was there, such variety. We ate in dining room one evening and shame we were the only people but chefs and waiter very attentive and food excellent and value for money, guests should try this rather than some of the more fashionable restaurants around the area, at least once you will not be disapointed. Maybe the hotel should advertise it a bit more and maybe do some special cuisine nights to attract guests in. Overall will definately use this hotel when we return

We have chosen to stay in this hotel because of the excellent location on the Strand in Gzira -Sliema, directly overlooking the bay to Valetta and also due to the fact that it was opened for public in December 2022. We were entirely right in our expectations. The ferry station to Valetta is located at 7 mins walking distance, three bus stations are also at 5 - 7 mins walking distance, giving quick access to entire public transportation network of the island. The twin room we had was large, was large, with brand new and modern furniture. Bathroom also large, all equipment in perfect condition. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choices, cold buffet or freshly cooked dishes, coffee served at the table, personnel was courteous and attentive to guests. Staff at the front desk was always helpful, from checking in to checking out and beyond, smiling and helpful. Definitely a hotel that we recommend and where we would be only happy to return.

Where to start? Ok, from the moment we arrived at Hotel Verdi in a Taxi which was arranged by the hotel (First class service meet and greet) we were met by friendly reception staff who got us settled in in no time. First impressions were it was very clean modern hotel, we were not disappointed. Once we were in our room and had a look around, It is just as advertised. We booked a front sea view room with balcony and as it was on the seventh floor we had great views of the harbour. One thing to note is they do sea view side of hotel which I’m sure are as nice but not such a good view as the front. I will try and post some pics so you can see what I mean. The room we had was very quiet and we were not once disturbed by street noise or other guests. We only ate breakfast here (self service) which was great with allot of options and I regret not eating dinner here as I’m sure it would have been nice. The pool on the roof is half open half closed so good for all weather. We enjoyed a swim most days and there is a fantastic view from the top. Hotel Verdi is in a great location if you want to explore. There is a bus stop just outside and a five minute walk from the ferry which takes you to Valetta in another five minutes. The most important thing I always look for in reviews is would they stay again? Well yes I defiantly would and yes I would recommend this hotel. There are so many little things which made our holiday so much more enjoyable like the rooms serviced every day and the attentiveness of all the staff. If any of you read this, thank you.

A lovely hotel which felt small and intimidate but is actually quite large. We had a twin room which was very comfortable. The en suite was a shower wet room which I loved but I know some people like a bath so you should check that.

The hotel overlooks the waterfront but side rooms actually overlook another building. If you turn your head to the side you can see the waterfront. We never sat out on the balcony so this didn't really matter.

The sauna is part of the gym and is lovely but you need to inform the staff that you will be using it about 20 minutes prior so that is switched on. There is an indoor plunge pool (not big enough to swim) and a connecting outdoor rooftop pool. The views from here are amazing so worth visiting even if you don't go swimming.

The staff are very helpful and the service is great. The breakfast buffet is plentiful but pretty standard. The hash browns are delicious and the bacon is crispy. Scrambled eggs are always on offer but you can ask for your eggs to be done the way you like.

The location is very convenient for buses and ferries to Valetta (from where you can connect to everywhere else). There are also lots of bars and restaurants close by.
If Sliema is where you choose to stay in Malta, then I'd definitely recommend Hotel Verdi.

Great location to see Malta! But be careful which rooms you book, the rooms we had gave us no natural light. They do overlook an atrium but there is only a small lantern roof to let light through which isn't effective. Pay the extra and book a room with a balcony.

Fabulous views from the rooftop pool/bar. The staff and service were great, the hotel was very clean and the air conditioning was welcome! The buffet breakfast offered a good selection for all nationalities. Be warned there is a full-length, mirror directly opposite the toilet in the bathroom! ;)

Although Sliema is not the most beautiful location, we couldn't fault the local bars and restaurants (we found the portion sizes too large wherever we were). The bars directly opposite the hotel overlooking the harbour were good and both had live singers during our Friday to Monday break.

Bolt (taxi's) offered an efficient service at a reasonable cost. The Orient supermarket to the left of the hotel (as you face it), has EVERYTHING you'll need!

Marsaxlokk is a pretty place to visit but you might prefer to go when it's not Sunday / market day. It's much nicer when it's less busy and when the market is gone (late-afternoon), the restaurants set up tables and chairs on the harbour.

I compared hotels in Malta extensively before booking and ended up booking at Hotel Verdi - which turned out to be the right call!

The hotel is relatively new, but it is clear that the staff are very experienced and keen on creating a great experience for guests. We had an oceanside view room with a view over Valletta, which featured more amenities than I could have thought of myself, a great bathroom, and a nice terrace. The hotel has a great location, with easy access to the ferry and busses to Valletta, as well as walking distance to Tigne Point and Fort Manoel. The staff at reception were always very accommodating to us and quite flexible in our case, when we asked for the possibility of a later checkout.

Overall I rate the experience 5/5 and will prioritize choosing Hotel Verdi for my next visit to Malta.
