My husband and I have just had a 4 night stay at the above B & B, it was clean, comfortable and relaxing, we had the superior room at the back of the house, The owner was very polite and helpful and was always making sure everything was ok for us and asking if we needed anything. Would recommend this... More

We loved our stay here. The room was very spacious and decorated in the style of a real home. In fact unlike so many other B&Bs we really felt we were in a family home! We stayed two nights and The Beacon gave us a great base to go exploring knowing we had such a home to return to each... More

stayed for 4 nights, 10th Sept to 14th, views of the moors from our room window, only 20 mins from Whitby and other coastal villages, only yards from the moorland, quiet location, great for walking and a belly buster breakfast with quality bacon, plenty of options available, would definitely go there again

The building is full of character and feels very warm and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. If you want a real home from home where you feel incredibly welcome, this is the place to be. Goathland is an excellent and stunningly beautiful place to stay.

The Beacon is a lovely quaint guesthouse right on the edge of the Goathland moor. Could watch the sheep and lambs from our hotel window. Host Carol is very welcoming and gave us lots of tips for walks we could do on the moors. Breakfast was nice and gave us a taste of the local quisine. I definitely recommend!

Just back from a weeks stay at The Beacon. Rooms were excellent, and the breakfast was tailored made to your own requirements, within the usual cooked breakfast offerings. The perfect start to the day with the breakfast you want in a nice environment. The Beacon enjoys views of the moors from all sides, and the breakfast room overlooks both lawn... More

We stayed on 24th, 25th and 26th June and enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and as we were given a family room we had a second children's room spare, so useful to store the cases in and not have to keep them around the bedroom. The view was great, looking towards Goathland and open country. Breakfast was cooked... More
