We have just stayed one night in this once esteemed establishment, I could not have been any worse, water leaks, showers not working, extreme noise from above, bed near its end, really tired looking and the entire building run down and as for the dining room!!, THE ONLY GOOD THING a very pleasant and sensible young manager who fully realized...

Went New Year's Day. Busy and full of atmosphere. A proper pub with good ale and wholesome pub grub. We took the kids and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The adults all had various types of burgers, all were outstanding, fancy enough without being OTT. All came with the all trimmings, Brioche rolls, Stilton and Bacon to die for....

Met here for our Christmas gathering. Where we were seated was very cold. The service was average with 3/4 different waitresses coming to our table! The food was ok! Couldn't fault the starters but the mains were over cooked, and one came out cold.

Had a pleasant short walk around the village before trying the Bell for lunch. Three of us had the home made burger .. it was huge I always have to deconstruct these towers as it is the only sensible way to eat it. Not disappointed at all made from Rib eye steak. The Hunters chicken was also tasty. I'm not...

The Bell Hotel is a typically British black and white pub with resteraunt and some accommodation above with most accommodation behind in the converted stables buildings, which are arranged motel-style around 2 sides of a small car park with open wooden walkways for access. Further public parking is available in front of the hotel, although we always managed to get...

Just came in for a couple of pints. Got a great spot by the fire. Beer was good and everyone was very friendly. Beautiful old country pub. Would definitely visit again if in the area. Dogs were made welcome.

We were visiting family in Clare and spent two nights at The Bell. I cannot say enough lovely things about it. Our room was comfortable though not particularly fancy. The dining was lovely and the owners recommendations were spot on. It was a sweet touch that he took us up to the banquet room where over 20 years ago we...
