Warm welcome & a quick, easy check-in. Lovely, cosy room with great view of garden and golf course. Thoroughly enjoyed spa treatment (hot stone massage) and the spa facilities. Meal in the Library Restaraunt was superb! All staff were very helpful & friendly.

Got a late deal for bed & breakfast with meal in the conservatory as a little pre Valentine treat & it was bliss. It was perfect from the minute we checked in. All the staff were so friendly, from reception, spa, conservatory and in the library at breakfast the following morning. We have stayed there before & a nice little...

I stayed here in October as part of a wedding party and I've got to say this hotel is stunning, really nice rooms, very clean, although I didn't use the pool or spa treatments they looked absolutely perfect. If you are looking for somewhere as a wedding venue I couldn't think of anywhere more perfect, the hall in the centre...

We stayed at Matfen Hall on Friday 13th February for a valentines break. We decided to go the whole hog and book afternoon tea too. The Drawing Room was my favourite part of the whole hotel - with a roaring fire and cosy armchairs it makes you feel at home despite such grand surroundings. The afternoon tea was delicious, all...

It was four years since our last visit - too long. We had a lovely relaxing three nights, and this is the most important point. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the general air of Matfen Hall is sumptuous and relaxing. The pool and spa area was lovely and a great place to relax in, with the occasional swim, sauna...

My partner and I stayed here overnight, and we were very impressed, the hotel is very well appointed, and feels very homely, even though it used to be a country house, and latterly a nursing home. The rooms are a comfortable size, and have all the features you would expect. We also had afternoon tea in the Drawing Room, which...

Dear Guest, Thank you for you kind words about our hotel. I will be sure to pass onto our head chef and kitchen team that you thought the food was excellent. You are correct about needing to book spa treatments early as especially at weekends treatment time slots are taken up quickly, I hope that this did not interrupt your...
