Stayed on 11.06.16 and paid £89 for the privilege! we had booked 3 rooms as we were staying in the area for a family party. On arrival we were shown to the rooms in an annexe. The rooms are old and in need of updating. One of the rooms, number 2, smelt musty and damp. Holes were in the duvet cover...

Very noisy due to traffic and a 4am vibrating fan coming on. Very stuffy and the rooms are not good value. Really needs updating. I didn't eat there so cannot comment on food. For the same price you could stay in a Premier Inn.

I took my family here for my wifes birthday. We were shown to our table quickly and ordered drinks straight away. The service was quick and attentive, the food was lovely did not have one area where there was any fault, portions were big and i thought the price was very reasonable. Best bit for me the kids menu came...

We had a very nice room, on the ground floor. The room was very clean and tidy. The only thing I'd like to point out that there was no chair in the room. I found that sitting on the bed it was high for me to put my shoes on. A chair would have helped. The staff are very friendly....

Although small, the room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice food but a bit pricey. The hotel is convenient for Bristol and in the evening, just a short distance away, great views of the Bristol Channel and the bridges.

Another good meal. Prompt, attentive service and well cooked food. Having been here a few times now it feels like the prices are drifting up but still relatively good value. The loyalty scheme helps for better value.

Room clean comfortable and functional (could do with a splash of colour to make it more welcoming/warm). Hotel non-smoking, which is great. However, if you wish to sit outside for beer or food you're chocked by the foul smell of self-indulgent addicts - not the hotel's fault but - perhaps a designated smoking area (if they have to have one)...

Cracking food and Pub but just let down by the state of the poor state of the bed. Tried the pie and apart from the overuse of Rocket was one of the best pies going. The choice beers was good and the service very good. The English breakfast was very good with local produce.

Just off the motorway so easy to access Bristol and its surrounds. Ample parking. Rooms were clean, with all the usual amenities. Maybe a tad small but fine for a night. Food was good and breakfast was excellent. Friendly staff and efficient service. Agree with other reviewers - definitely a cut above most pub accommodation.

Stayed here for one night and was impressed by the friendly welcome and service. The rooms were clean and the food at both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The only thing that stopped me giving an excellent review was the fact I had a minor problem with the water (it stopped flowing from the bathroom tap for a short while...
