We visited as a large group in June. We all checked in at the spa. We were shown around the treatment areas and where to get tea and coffee. We all got changed and went into the spa. The pool itself is quite small and when we entered there were several children jumping in from the sides. I've never been...

We were nearing the end of our fortnight in southern England when we arrived here, fresh from plenty of quirky, charming, delightful and maddening experiences. Tortworth was a welcome relief. The gardens were unremarkable in comparison with others we had enjoyed, but the restaurant was large, the menu ample, and the service predictable. The in-room wifi worked well, certainly no...

The hotel My wife and I took advantage of a special offer of DBB at a rate of £120 night and booked a midweek stay for two nights. The hotel is remotely located in beautiful Gloucestershire countryside and is itself situated within its own extensive and well-tended grounds. The route to the hotel is well sign posted and as I...

It was a fun way to start our trip to England. The hotel has quite a history and we enjoyed doing something different than an ordinary hotel. . The hotel and grounds are impressive. The staff was amazing... Very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The room was a bit stuffy but we opened the window...

. I have probably been here half a dozen times since my last review. Always very good room, nice food, and glorious grounds, all topped off with great service. (They still haven't taken the tin of Brasso to the front door - why ever not? But I am so used to that now . . .). Going so regularly I...

Stayed there a couple of nights last week for a family wedding. Initial impressions were all positive and to be fair, any criticisms are nit picking. Very impressive entrance, check in fine, room lovely with door to a patio area and a nice range of complimentaries. We arranged with other guests to meet in the evening in one of the...

My husband's cousin recently got married at the weekend in Berkeley Castle and most of the guests stayed at Torthworth Hotel the night before the wedding as it was one of the closest hotels to the venue. I was initially impressed with the pictures I'd seen online prior to going but when we arrived we were hugely disappointed with the...

Dear Guest Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review. I understand the Duty Manager during this evening as well as the Bar Manager came and addressed your table as a result of your concerns and am happy to hear they not only apologised for any disappointment with your food but also offered a complimentary round...

What a lovely romantic place to stay. My husband and I had been married 6 months and for our first valentines as Mr and Mrs he saw this place. Lovely grand building, nice restaurant and beautiful grounds. We didn't get chance to use the Spa facilities but they did look good.

Went for a full spa day for 3 as birthday gift for my mum. The staff had dirty uniforms on, the treatment rooms weren't clean and the towels weren't changed on the salon beds after each use. The showers in the treatment rooms looked at the they had never been cleaned, basic swimming pool and changing facilities not cleaned regularly....

Dear Guest It is incredibly disappointing to hear that we did not meet your expectations in regards to the standards of cleanliness within the spa department during your time with us. The Peels Spa team have many processes in place to ensure they do not fall short of the four star standard that is expected within our four star establishment....
