Very busy. But they still got us (8 people) within 20 mins. Food was ok. The fish was a little on soggy side but ......Ok. Service was pleasant. Although they did start clearing plates before everyone had finished, which is a pet hate of mine (makes the meal feel very rushed). An ok 3.

Having read previous reviews, I was a tad concerned but we were only staying for one night and at £60 for two of us for bed and breakfast in a cracking location, I thought I would give it a go. After booking online, I rang the hotel to ensure they had our booking and pointed out that I had read...

We arrived at the venue around 3pm and there were no appropriate seats available in the bar area so we were seated in the restaurant area. We sat and waited and waited. A family of 4 was seated next to us and their order taken. I asked the waitress if we needed to order at the bar and she apologised...

We took my mother here for lunch as she really liked the look of it but we had read some bad reviews. We booked and asked for a table with a 'nice view'. I wasnt expecting much after reading more bad reviews than good but we had a lovely lunch. All of us had different food and all of it...

Went to lunch here 15 th January and looked lovely. Have eaten here before in the summer when it's been really busy. Not that busy this afternoon. One girl in restaurant and one girl in bar. We were waiting to give our order when we realised that the table next to us had got their food. They came in after...

I felt all was not well in this hotel when we checked in. We just weren't welcomed. Nobody seemed bothered whether we were there or not. We had booked a superior room overlooking the sea which on arrival seemed really nice. The setting of this hotel is amazing, right on the beach & I can imagine in the summer must...

Stayed for New Year 2 night package. There are so many things wrong that it would take for ever to list. The only redeeming part of the experience was the young staff who were trying their best. Previous postings about cold awful food are absolutely correct. I cannot believe that Greene King are so inept at providing a simple product...

Service slow, food cold, no training of staff. After staying at Old English Inns for new year for 7 years, thought we'd try the White Horse, will not come back, pitty as the rooms and location was good

Stayed here for 2 nights for New Year 30th and 31st. Accommodation was clean, with very comfortable king size bed, tea & coffee making facilities. Contrary to what I've read our breakfast came quickly after we had had our fruit, cereal etc. New Year's Eve was enjoyable, entertainment with Blobbie Williams! the music after he had finished to welcome in...

Late morning Christmas eve, not particularly busy, seemed like a nice venue. Three breakfasts ordered. Full English vegetarian - just about acceptable. Eggs Benedict - eggs way overcooked, watery Hollandaise, slabs of ham and dry toast, no muffins. Scrambled eggs on toast - I have never, in my life sent a meal back in a restaurant but this was disgusting...
