Stayed with another couple for a DB&B break. Our room was upgraded to a suite which was really good. Reception and the porter were well organised and very helpful. Dinner was good the only minor criticism was that the pudding course was minute, but it was an all in price so it was not a problem. Service was faultless as...

This was a birthday treat for my husband so I booked us in for a one night stay with evening 3 course meal and breakfast. The hotel is lovely and we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome. A lovely gentleman then showed us around the hotel before taking us to our room. The room was country style, lovely and clean....

Enjoyed this break immensely! The spa is not huge, but it is well appointed and sooo relaxing. Having been to other spas in the region I can honestly say this is the best. Our break included an overnight stay, lunch, dinner and breakfast- all the food was excellent both in the restaurant and the brasserie. We also had a 90...

We stayed with another couple, and both had a suite. The rooms were lovely, really nicely decorated and bed was very comfy. We used the spa whilst there, it's definitely worth a visit. The service was absolutely fantastic, nothing was a problem and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The only thing that let it down some of the food...

Building is lovely and excellent front of desk staff, However, room was a bit tired with a squeaky bed (not for that reason people!) and noisy during the night perhaps because we were in proximity of the kitchen. Waited over 20 minutes to be addressed at breakfast and...

So pleased we have found this hidden little gem to celebrate my 40th birthday, anyone looking for a first class spa day must try here. Knocks the socks off Rockcliffe in my opinion. Love the fact that it is a family run business and they take real pride and the attention to detail is excellent. Beautifully kept throughout. Our spa...

What a wonderful place! We visited Headlam as part of my Birthday celebrations. From start to finish it was a fabulous stay. As soon as we checked in the service was absolutely spot on. Brian met us at reception and took us up to our lovely room which had a balcony. This would be great in the warmer months. The...

We recently stayed at Headlam in one of their recently refurbished suites and were blown away at the size of the room, the gorgeous four poster bed amazing views over the gardens and roll top bath in the huge bathroom. Dinner was simply a culinary treat with the best Venison we have ever tasted and surprise treats in between the...
