We met up with friends for dinner and enjoyed a wonderful evening in such pleasant surroundings. We had a welcome drink in the the lounge followed by an exceptional meal served by pleasant and efficient staff. I am delighted that Headlam continues to be one of the best hotels in the North East.

A step above the usual Sunday lunch in a beautiful light and sunny dining room. The smart uniformed staff served us efficiently and politely with excellent food. We had tempura prawns with a sweet dipping sauce followed by roast beef. We followed lunch with coffee in the lounge where a talented pianist was playing a varied selection of music. At...

The Yorkshire puddings and gravy are to die for and the service was quick, efficient and friendly. We were in the conservatory restaurant which is very open, light and pleasant with some contemporary features. The...

Staff are really pleasant especially the bar staff and porter. Food was good but I suspect not of the usual standard. Presentation was a little messy. The spa facilities are...

I had the pleasure of staying in a Spa room with balacony which allowed swift access to the wonderful spa factilites (pool, steam room, sauna, hydrotherapy pool...). The room itself was very spacious, with little touches like robes and slippers to prepare for the spa, the bed was wonderfully...
