One night stay on a cold Sunday in January, hotel was very quiet with not many guests staying, largely I think due to recent floods. Hotel itself is very nice, large lounges with open fires, board games, well stocked bookshelves, and the bedrooms were excellent, large sitting area, very comfortable bed & bedding, everything needed. Staff were very attentive and...

One night stay, very friendly and helpful staff, the hotel was in a lovely setting and the room was well decorated and a good size, unfortunately the food wasn't up standard and the bar prices were far too expensive given the overall quality of the hotel and location.

Half the county of Cumbria was apparently flooded but we didn't realise the lake district would have been as affected. We were driving towards Patterdale for an afternoon snack and drink but unfortunately didn't make it. On our way back we pulled into here. What a superb welcome from all of the staff which inevitable was our Green light to...

loved it. room gorgeous but €8.50 for a glass of wine is crazy. Would go back in the spring or summer. and not have wine! The beds are super comfy and the grounds and views just gorgeous. Glad we didnt go during the floods, or we may not have got there.

We had a 2 night stay and had dinner at the hotel on one of those nights. The service from the staff was excellent, especially the restaurant staff. Our dinner was delicious, breakfast was OK. The executive room was spacious and well furnished. The newer part of the hotel where we stayed was very beige - in our room, the...

We arrived on the 6th January for a 2 night break DBB for some pure relaxation. The whole stay was perfect. We camped ourselves in the drawing room by the fire and were wonderfully looked after by Arek, such a character and asset to the hotel. He made sure the fire was kept stoked up with logs and we enjoyed...

..... lovely position, was a lovely hotel, seems a little run down compared to what it was - we arrived quite late after an appointment (8.45pm), food was available but from a very very limited menu which seems to be the "Bar Menu"- two types of burger, fish and chips, sheppards pie (note the spelling) - presentation wasn't great and...

A lovely stay at a beautifully situated hotel. The bedroom was excellent with gorgeous bedding and the view was divine looking into the lake and snow covered mountains. Food was excellent as was the service.

We arrived on 27th December as a treat from my partner for two nights DB and B. Check in was a bit slow and there was only one person at the desk. She was clearly stressed and gave minimal information to us. After reading other reviews we weren't offered afternoon tea or whisky either. We requested a pet free room...

Good Morning Dawn B Thank you for visiting Leeming House, I am pleased you found dinner on both nights to be lovely and you enjoyed the lounges, they are particularly cosy during the winter months in front of the fire with the stunning views outside. Also fantastic that you found your room to be immaculate I am a little surprised...

On the morning of the 30th Dec , the day we were due to leave, the storm took the power lines out, and the hotel was without any electricity, contrary to your last contributor, we went to the dining room to find the tables all set with candles,it not only looked lovely but the staff had set a full continental...
