Great hotel. Staff friendly and welcoming, well furbished and maintained. Bedrooms large and comfortable. Breakfast was great! Good location for most reaching many parts of mid / north Wales. Wifi works all over the hotel. Garden looks good but weather and time meant we couldn't get out but the views are stunning. Really recommend it.

Had a great weekend. Hotel was ideally located between family near welshpool and Snowdon. Staff very friendly but not intrusive, hotel well furnished and maintained, bedrooms large and comfortable. Strongly recommended.

Stayed here a couple of times now and the welcome was as warm as ever. The hotel is in a fantastic location just off the A470 and has off road parking The rooms are exceptionally clean. the bar area is very comfy and there's always a reasonable choice of food on the menu, which is served quickly and is of...

Stayed just one night -the first night of the season - knocked out by the surroundings and views. A stunning, comfortable four poster bed ! Dinner was 5 star - Welsh lamb shanks in red wine cooked by the hostess herself. Delicious ! Proprietors were very welcoming, friendly and informative. Nothing was too much trouble...not that we wanted for anything.

I am surprised by some of the reviews on here. I stayed back in May with a work colleague - we arrived unexpectedly, late on a rainy night. We were greeted warmly, and the kitchen was kept open so that we could get a hot evening meal. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom was huge....

Me and my parents stayed at the Buckley arms this weekend and I couldn't of been more impressed. Upon arrival we were greeted and taken up to the rooms, I could not fault one problem with my room, it was large, exceptionally comfortable and very clean ! The staff were very friendly and would always take the effort to talk...

Hello again, glad your journey home was a safe one. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay. I remember well how our unpredictable dog kept you amused in the bar. Sometimes she's a bit odd, but she's fine in the bar and Saturday she behaved very well. I'd be more than happy to welcome you and your parents back again...

We overnighted at The Buckley Arms whilst we were exploring the area, the location was good and just what we expected. The hotel itself looks good from the outside having undergone a recent repaint. We received a reasonable welcome and the check in process was straightforward enough. We also had a good nights sleep - and the breakfast was very...

Hello again. I’m so sorry you were disappointed with your stay. With regard to the charge for breakfast, depending on which site was used to book your room you might not have had the option for breakfast which was pointed out during your visit. We offer a ‘room only’ or ‘bed and breakfast’ choice and not all sites we advertise...

Buckley Arms Hotel was built in 1874 as it says above the door. There are enough original features remaining to create interest but the view of the surrounding mountains is the real star. There was a warm welcome by the owner and the service from staff remained high during our one night stay. The rooms and ensuite bathrooms are large....

My husband and I stayed here for one night in May 2013, so I am a year late writing this review, but was prompted when I saw the review written by the person who stayed in September 2013 and gave a 3* rating. We arrived around 5.00pm after a strenuous walk over Cader Idris. It was quite cold and I...

Hello there, I remember your stay very well. I also remember the fact that the heating (which also heats the hot water) did not restart that afternoon. I can only apologise again as I did at the time. Once I had been told the water was tepid I did investigate and correct the problem, and had I been aware earlier...

I only spent one night in this hotel! Overall it was nice! We arrived late and the owners kept the kitchen open for us, which was very kind of them, since there is nothing around the hotel! The was a fireplace in the pub area, it was nice and cosy! The dinner was very nice, but a little pricy! I...
