We had the chance of another break in the Machynlleth area as there were another couple of country walks we wanted to sample. So with bags packed we paid a second visit to The Dolbrodmaeth Riverside Hotel. The hotel's location suits us perfectly as it is in a very quiet country location but not too far from the centre of...

It was dark when we arrived so the next morning when the view we had of the river winding down the valley though the mountains was breathtaking and we both knew we going to have a weekend to remember....

We returned to the Dyfi Valley to attend functions celebrating the old new year. It was the coldest period for some time but the welcome at Dolbrodmaeth was warm and friendly. We appreciated Mandy's cheerful disposition and willingness to go out of her way to make us welcome. The room was comfortable and spacious and the meals appetising. We appreciated...

I have fell in love with this hotel, havn't been somewhere quite as lovely as this for a while. From our arrival to our exit, we felt the staff were extremely friendly, anything you want, all you need to do is ask. We stayed for 2 nights and ate here both nights, (I'd recommend the lasagne!). I loved the homely...

Not sure where the below reviews came from... Stayed in one of the double rooms for 1 night in October. The room was old, rundown and very VERY dirty. The decor is very tired and some of the furniture damaged....seriously avoid! Not a pleasant stay in any way except for the views.

We do regard these comments as very harsh & unwarranted, but we have taken them on board & the room in question has been refurbished. During the winter 2012 many of...

We had a party of 15 staying for two nights to celbrate my wife's 50th birthday. We also had 3 dogs in our party, and the age ranges of the people were 4 years old to 65. We were made very welcome and the service was courteous. There was a nice relaxed atmosphere, and the food, both evening meals and...
