First of all the old stately home building featured on the web site does not provide accommodation, you are given a standard hotel room in a modern building to the side, you then have to walk to the leisure centre, where you are ignored at reception by a stressed out young receptionist who is busy on her computer and didnt...

Booked a one night spa package at this hotel (overnight accommodation, dinner, breakfast and a 25 minute spa treatment). The hotel and spa staff were very friendly. The room was clean and perfect for our short break. The dinner was lovely in the Orangery restaurant and the buffet breakfast was also good. Although the spa treatment rooms were nice the...

It is indeed a pretty nice stay in this country side hotel where we have booked a 2-bed room unit (a twin bed room on a upper floor / double on the ground floor) equipped with a full kitchen and a living room on the ground floor. Dinner and breakfast served in the restaurant was good. Staff members are very...

Lovely hotel, great food. What let's the place down massively is the staff, they are rude and clearly lack training which I think is bad from a chain hotel as you'd expect mercure to see the importance in this!

the hotel is basically an up market travel lodge it's clean and tidy and the rooms are well equipped. the food is very nice but the drinks are a bit on the pricey side ( but that is to be expected with an isolated hotel). the downside is the staff are not quite up to scratch and we didn't really...

Stunning setting and a comfortable and adequate hotel. We had a few problems with blocking toilet on all three nights of our stay and a run in with the kitchen when the chef decided to stop cooking for bar meals for two hours on NYE without telling other staff leaving customers sitting wondering what was going on. The chef gave...

Currently here at the moment. The staff have been lovely throughout and dinner was very good indeed. Sure, there are a few needed tweaks (what the heck is that huge ladder doing outside our room?) and boy does that fountain reek. But, do far so good.

Me and my girlfriend spent two nights here over New Years and really enjoyed our stay. I'd read poor reviews on TripAdvisor regarding the staffs poor attitude but upon arrival and all the way through can honestly say we didn't experience any of this. The room was pleasant enough but the hotel could probably do with updating slightly throughout such...
