What can we say but the most fantastic experience. After dropping into the Hollies last month to visit my friend by Helicopter I decided to book a weekend for my family as it looked so quaint. We were certainly not let down, Tom and Richard the owners gave us personal attention throughout the weekend and our accomodation was better than...

What a find. I had to stay locally for a couple of nights for a funeral, and I am very glad I picked the Hollies. The welcome was warm and helpful and my standard room quite surprising. All the rooms are on the ground floor overlooking (and with a French window leading on to) a courtyard area, so the outlook...

I used to stay here whilst working away from home a few years ago and just got round to writing a review. Its a great country hotel. Loads of charm, fabulous service and great food. The staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you. Great rooms. Clean, warm and comfortable. Just what you need after a day travelling...

Many thanks for letting us know you enjoyed your stay. We are hoping to refurbish the bar & restaurant in the new year, so hopefully more improvements to come.

Great hotel, great food, lovely staff, ideally located for visiting Dorset, Somerset and Devon. We stayed in one of the hotel's cottages which are very well appointed, located a few minutes walk to main hotel, would stay again.

Thank you so much for your lovely review, we are working hard to make our cottages and serviced apartments even better, the best in the area. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of being of service to you at some point in the future. Kind regards, Richard Walsh. General Manager.

We stayed in the apartment (rooms 19 and 20) on Friday and Saturday night. We were greeted by very friendly reception staff and the apartment was beautiful, just what we needed to see after a very long drive down from Essex! A beautiful and expansive living room with kitchen - all mod cons. A lovely little terrace and very close...

Thanks for the great review. Apartment 19/20 always gets attention, BUT, we are refurbishing our cottages & serviced apartments. They are being done in an ultra modern style. Five are done, nine more to go before summer. Hopefully one will be available if you do decide to come at Christmas. We look forward to seeing you again.

We arrived at the Hollies late Friday night to a very warm welcome. We were given the apartment 19/20 for out family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children). Upon entering the room, we were amazed at how clean, spacious and bright the apartment was. It was very warm and welcoming in the room (we did have to turn down...

Thank you for the great review, delighted the apartment worked so well for you, and our staff remembered your drink orders!! We also have 2/3/4 bedroomed cottages and apartments located 200 yards from the hotel, might be an even better option over the Christmas period as they are also fully equiped, fibre optic broadband (great for the children to stream!!)...

We stayed at the Hollies once and never will again. We were given 2 free upgrades and can only imagine the standard of the original room. The mattress was incredibly uncomfortable and the sheets were of poor quality. After a terrible night's sleep (my husband chose to sleep on the floor, as the bed was so uncomfortable), breakfast was another...

I am unsure if you have selected the right Hollies Hotel. The hotel does not own any bungalows, so perhaps you are mistaken where you stayed. Obviously it is disappointing to have this review associated with us, particularly when all other reviews reflect the wonderful quality & service given by the hotel & staff. We give heart & sole in...

I loved this hotel. My colleague and I were offered the apartment as a free upgrade... it was amazing. Receptionists are really friendly and accommodating. A1 customer service. We frequented the restaurant and the choice of food and quality was excellent. I really enjoyed the breakfast too.

Stayed one night. Room overlooked a field of horses which was beautiful however the room, especially the bathroom were not as clean as I would expect, rather dusty and shower smelt very stale. The hot water is absolutely boiling so take care if you run a bath. Dinner service was so really slow, and the quality of the breakfast very...

Thank you for letting us know about your experience whilst staying with us. It is disappointing that you feel service was slow, and not often we receive this comment. The restaurant is sold out most nights, and there are occasions where we get up to 50 diners turning up without having made a reservation. If they all come at a...

We were a group of 15 friends who meet up in a different part of the country each year for a three night stay, dinner bed and breakfast.
