Detailed Reviews
Really surprised how nice this place is for the price, lovely big family room, comfy beds, clean, big bath and shower. The blind in the kids sleeping area was broken so kids were up at 6am as it was so light. Take eye mask and ear buds for other noisy guest In the early hour. Really pleasant stay would return.

Basic room. No frills. Noises from the local pubs over the road. Side show was the fight down the side of the building followed by the couple making out under my window. Three nights I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant it was slow and advrage food.

Despite its position, the rooms were large, clean and comfy bed. Massive bath was nice to soak in...very impressed. Big car park and easy to find. Just needed a overnight rest hole, and this didn't disappoint

We stopped in room7 for one evening , nothing in the room was luxury , poor quality bedding duvet was so thin and pillows very thin to , room was not very clean either dirty marks on walls and thick dust around edges of carpets and dirty skirting boards ; very cheap furniture in the room to . The bathroom sink was virtually un useable as a glass shelf was badly positioned. And couldn’t run a bowl full of water as no plug. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful , but the room was very disappointing and the stairs are very steep to so not suitable for older guests.

Parking in the car park round the back was easy, plenty of space. When we went to check in, we found a very professional, helpful and friendly gentleman who gave us all the information we needed.
We were up some stairs on the second floor - they are steep so you do need to be mindful of that. The room was a double with private en-suite. It was a really large room, basic but all you need for an overnight stay. It had tea and coffee making facilities, and a TV. The bathroom was big, with a big shower enclosure. Everything was very clean. One of the shower doors was a little loose so we were gentle with it, but the actual shower was amazing - powerful and hot! The window can actually be opened properly, which was such a relief for us as most hotels are far too hot. There was also heating and a fan though if needed. Honestly for £42 it was excellent value for money.

Couldn't be bothered with us. Her attitude was rude we are in our late 60s and was treated like we were nothing. We had to carry our own bags up to the room. Whilst younger couples were made to feel welcome NEVER AGAIN all they did was boost about being on four in a bed to all their guests. Who needs to dance on sticky carpeted dance floor!

Response from Kris Malde, Owner at The R Inn Hotel
Responded Mar 6, 2022
Hey guys thanks for the review. However we have no record of you staying with us. Our staff are never rude to customers - especially the elderly. If anything we would always try to give you a lower floor room. We don't really get many younger couples staying with us so again, we really don't think you've ever stayed with us. And yep, we were on Four in a Bed many years ago and this isn't something we brag about. It's not really a marketing tool that we use. But thank you for your review and we hope that whoever reads it also reads the other the reviews and makes an objective decision about whether to stay with us - we hope they will.

Reasonably basic, friendly staff, good value and right on the high street although quiet. Comfortable bed, enough storage and cleaned to a very high standard. We stayed in the new block not the main hotel but all was good and would stay again. And the Tapas & other food at the hotel was great.

Called up yesterday to book a room for the night.
Was told I could not as if you stay on a Sunday you have to stay for 4 nights minimum!
Never encountered this before anywhere.
I was tired and did not fancy driving a long way home.
Will find alternative in future.
Beware.

Oh where to start! Executive suite!??? What a joke - fold out chairs, tiny tiny room and 2 single beds pushed together to create the single most uncomfortable bed i have ever had the displeasure to attempt to sleep on!! The room was clean and the shower worked well so it does get 2 stars

The room was dirty when we arrived, trash was strewn about on the floor. The silverware was not washed, the cups were not washed, there was tobacco on the floor in the toilets. After the toilets were cleaned, they smelled of fish...there was no one at the front desk to tell us where to park when a wedding over took the hotel, and the idiots didn't park efficiently so we had nowhere to go- parking is a nightmare.
The door does not lock when you close it, so another guest actually walked in as we arrived, because the door does not lock behind you. It isn't a nice place to stay, and we absolutely would not recommend it.
There is no one at reception during normal business hours to take service requests or complaints, almost as if they don't care
