This is a lovely hotel off the beaten track. It's located in a very small working fishing cove and not suitable for sitting on the beach though there are other beautiful beaches either side which are a car drive or can be accessed via the coastal path (not an easy walk). Hotel is clean and modern. The room we stayed... More

The Lugger hotel is a really beautiful hotel and the location is stunning. We stayed in a deluxe room across the slipway from the main building; the room itself was faultless; listening to the sea as you lay in bed was a real treat, as were the views from the patio day and night. The decor in the room is... More

Thank you for posting your review following your stay. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay here at The Lugger. As stated in previous replies, we do change the menu to ensure we offer the best, current, seasonal Cornish produce throughout the year, but do understand that for guests staying for longer periods can find the menu restricted, so for... We have just returned from our third trip to this hotel which of course speaks volumes in itself. It couldn't be in a better location in terms of getting away from it all, beautiful fishing cove, but as other reviewers have said beware of narrow lanes en route. The food both at breakfast and in the evening was excellent and... More

We stayed at this hotel for our mini-moon during the last week of July. We had The Lookout which was a room in a small hut (which we assume used to be a shed) overlooking the sea. Although the room was small, it was cosy and comfortable and not being attached to the main building made the stay a little... More

Many thanks for taking the time to share your review of The Lugger. The room in which you stayed is one of the latest quirky additions to our portfolio, The Lookout. A little converted boathouse, which commands the best views of the harbour, cliffs and out to sea. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, the harbour terrace has taken... More

This is a delightful sophisticated romantic hotel near the shore of a fairly little fishing port. The ambience is very pleasant being relaxed but tastefully decorated. The fine dining makes use of the locally caught fish and shell fish. If it is on the menu try the crab mousse.

We arrived on a rainy day to have cream tea, this is the first time we have visited since the hotel changed owners. I have to say that I wasn't impressed, it felt like a lounge for their residents to hang out and like they weren't prepared for other guests. I would have put in down to that twilight time... More

We stayed 4 nights in a deluxe room with amazing views of the harbour. Room 103 is across the boat slipway and not in the hotel building.
