Very good and simple food in a nice old traditional pub. Enjoyed a lovely family Sunday lunch with generous portions before retreating back to our campsite! Garden looked nice too for the warmer months.

We visited twice during our holiday to Milford-on-Sea, a family of 4 adults and 3 young children. The food was amazing, the garden was great for the kids. It's been updated since the pics on here. The owners were so friendly and great with the kids. We will be back in August. Thanks again.

Popped in here Saturday afternoon - lovely village pub thank you. Firstly served by Pat, who was very chatty, friendly and made us very welcome. After a couple of drinks, the landlord came on duty and was also very friendly, we will definitely come back. Great beer thank you (Food looked very nice, but didn't sample!)

The website asks customers for "call rather than email" for accommodation availability and bookings, and that's exactly what I did yesterday morning. I called the Red Lion, which offers bed and breakfast accommodation, at 8:10am on Wednesday 15th March, and the conversation went as follows: RL: Red Lion... ME: Morning, could I book a double room for Saturday, 3rd June...

Been to The Red Lion a few times as heard good reviews from locals and not disappointed a bit. Friendly bar staff, landlord and landlady who couldn't do enough, even recommended we book a table as they were becoming fully booked th following night. Great choice of local beers, also supporting a local micro brewery. Food was fantastic, reasonably priced...

Some of the reviews on here imply the landlord is moany but we arrived after dinner at the Thai restaurant and liked it here. The landlord was friendly and chatted nicely about general stuff and we were made to feel very welcome. If we were visiting the area for longer we'd definitely have gone back to eat.

What a FIND - car park, large lawn with plenty of tables, children's swings and climbing frames etc., Spacious modern room and en-suite with every little detail being taken care of - toiletries, kettle, hair dryer, coffee ,tea, biscuits etc.even chilled water in a thermos! - which was greatly...

Excellent meal enjoyed by all. The food was piping hot and very tasty. Very friendly and attentive service. Also the pub was noticeably cleaner than some other pubs locally. Dog friendly too, the waitress brought our dogs over a treat and were provided with a water bowl.

We received an enthusiastic welcome on arrival. The room was well appointed with a view over the beer garden. We decided to eat in rather than go somewhere else and were not disappointed. The chef was on a day off, but the landlady did a superb job with the food we ordered, which was very reasonably priced, and delicious to...
