Spent a very pleasant weekend, with the hotel being an ideal base for Loch Lomond and Stirling visits by car. Room was fine, staff very welcoming, attentive and professional. Breakfast was very good and served in the conservatory/dining area, with great views. Liked the log fire in the residents' lounge. I'd have no problem in returning to the Killearn. Many... More

Stayed here for one night away with my husband. Staff couldn't be more helpful, very cheerful, so much so we decided to just stay in the hotel from booking in to departure. We ate and had drinks in the bar area which was very comfortable and the food was delicious. 3 course meal each and a bottle of wine came... More

Just back from a nights stay at the Killearn hotel. I have to say I was very disappointed. Staff that were available to talk to very unhelpful. No customer service Room was terrible. Tears in duvet cover. Holes in cushions. Breakfast was a shame. No fruit! Had to ask for tea and coffee. Had to ask for sauce to have... More

Stayed here for a wedding in April and it was great - really friendly staff and the owner gave me a long introduction to Scotch. Comfortable, clean and cosy. Just what was needed for a stopover in bonnie Scotland :)

If booking is a total nightmare, will your stay be the full 'faulty towers' experience. We didn't want to find out and cancelled. Phones not answered over a 48 hours period, random emails from the hotel saying stuff that was not try, and when we finally called their sister hotel the person 'hard sold hotel extras' for 5 minutes before... Stayed two nights at this hotel on an Amazon deal so the price was excellent. The hotel is a little tired and there was a problem with a no-show chef at one point over the weekend. Breakfast on the first morning was excellent but the second morning was slow and poor quality presumably caused by the chef issue. Part of... More

On the plus side, the food at this hotel is some of the best Ive had anywhere, including top city restaurants, although it was disappointing on our second evening that two of the three fish dishes were unavailable. The staff without exception are fantastic, hard working, extremely cheerful, and willing to help. Its a shame that all their efforts are... More

The Hotel is a bit of a mixed pot. The lower levels are fairly modern and nicely decorated. As you enter upstairs it gets a bit tatty looking- maybe this is intentional to add rustic appeal to the place- the room was large , comfortable, but dated. Food wise again, it was ok, with breakfast being the best of the... More

Stayed here one night in April. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. There was a problem with the kitchen the night we stayed but staff had called me the night before my stay to advise of this which I thought was incredibly thoughtful. Had several drinks in the bar, prices reasonable. Breakfast was lovely too. The highlight... More
