Robin and Bilal really have developed something special in Aultbea. This was our second stay and 4th time in the restaurant and it's getting better every time, wonderful food in a beautiful setting overlooking Loch Ewe. We ate in the bar twice as well, and what a joy to have freshly cooked, local food, served by friendly, attentive staff in...

We were staying at Gruinard Bay doing the North Coast 500, my partner cycling, me in the campervan as backup. We drove to Altbea which in itself is a lovely village overlooking the bay, and found this amazing Hotel which offered a choice of restaurants. We chatted to the young man behind the bar who turned out to be one...

This hotel was the last on our Northern 500 route and we saved the best until last! Warm hospitality, wonderfully designed rooms and excellent food just made our stay special. Be prepared when you book a small double that is will be very small, but beautifully decorated! We had very little room for our small suitcases. The food in the...

I visited the Aultbea Hotel in August, on my way along the NC500. I stayed for one night only, and shared room 7 with my mum. The place is simply wonderful! Excellent room (stunning view), really comfy. The friendliest of staffs, the loveliest welcome you can imagine. We had dinner at the adjoining Convoy Tavern. It was full to bursting,...

Lovely hotel tastefully refurbished over the last few years. Our room had lovely views over the Loch, the ensuite was rather small. Excellent restaurant with very good food. Very pleasant owners & friendly staff

Having found the Aultbea Hotel through internet research including Tripadvisor we were hoping for great things and we weren't disappointed at all. We were greeted by one of the owners with a friendly, warm welcome and shown to our lovely room overlooking the loch and the Isle of Ewe. After a couple of drinks in the cosy Convoy bar we...

We have been going on holiday to this area for 6 years and we have seen this hotel every year, before Robin and Baliel took over it was a nice place to go and have a drink after a walk but it did need some TLC. We have watched the transformation happen since the boys took over and it is...

This is a very nice small and friendly hotel in a lovely location overlooking Loch Ewe. It has a nice atmosphere which is definitely due to the friendly and helpful staff here. The room was well thought out with a comfortable bed and a separate seating area. The bathroom was a good size with a fairly decent shower. The hotel...

We only called in for a lunch in the hotel's Convoy Tavern, but were impressed by the quality of our dishes and would have liked to be able to eat dinner in their Fat Whippet. The tavern itself was pleasant, with a few well kept local ales and a good gin selection. The feel of the other areas of the...

Excellent value. The quality of the food here is surprisingly good, especially considering the distance some of the ingredients would have to have travelled. I would highly recommend a stop here. The beer is pretty good too !
