We booked up extremely last minute and were fortunate enough that a room was available. We were put in the family ensuite which was modern, big and super comfy. The house was stunning, whilst in the shower you have the perfect view of a beautiful beach and view.

We left feeling very relaxed and ended up getting a chippy to eat on the beach.

Janet was extremely friendly and COVID measures were in place. We would definitely visit again.

Just returned from beautiful Morar. Fair Winds is a lovely b&b. Absolutely spotless , extremely comfortable and in a stunning location. We stayed in the family room which is very light and airy. Janet made us feel very welcome in her home . We had a lovely cooked breakfast .There was a good choice of cereal , fresh orange juice and lots of lovely toast with a good selection of jam and marmalade . The view from the breakfast room was amazing . There was a set of binoculars available for use which was a really nice touch. Would definitely stay here again.

A return visit to Janet’s beautiful home, with the best breakfast ever. Always a pleasure to return. Janet is very welcoming and the room and furnishings are top quality and spotlessly clean. The beach below is breathtaking.

We only stayed for one night but found Fair Winds a very convenient place for the ferry in Mallaig the next morning. Breakfast was lovely, lots of fresh fruit as well as the cooked breakfast. Room was very comfortable, bathroom spotless. The B&B is on the main road and even though there was some traffic when we arrived, we couldn't hear anything at night, very quiet.

Great location and great host. You can not get better value. The rooms are clean and it's like being in your own home. This is not your commercialised B&B with registration forms forms for breakfast or locks on doors but rather a friends place to stay overnight at.

First of all, this B&B attracted us as a family due to its location, being so close to one of our favourite beaches in the whole of Scotland! When I was a child in the 70s and early 80s, my family used to rent one of the cottages on Tougal Beach every summer holiday. The cottages are no longer let out, but staying at the Fair Winds is as close as you can possibly get without actually pitching a tent down on the sands!

It is a modern detached property set in lovely gardens overlooking the Morar Estuary, on the old road between Arisaig and Morar, and only a short detour from the new road. It is on an elevated site and the views to the estuary to the front were complimented by views of the hills to the side and rear.

We stayed one night in a family room which was extremely comfortable, clean and light and airy. We've stayed in a few family rooms and this was definitely one of the best. A double and a single bed, with room to move between. The en suite shower room was big enough, and extremely clean.

This B&B is the first I have ever stayed in where there were no locks on the bedroom doors, but I had not trepidation about leaving our belongings in the room. It definitely had the feeling of being a guest in someone's home rather than simply letting a room for the night.

The owner is a lovely lady, and the welcome was warm and friendly. We had a lovely chat about the local area, and my childhood memories.

Breakfast was excellent, and not overpowering - so many 'full Scottish' breakfasts can seem like a cardiac on a plate, this was just right to set us up for the day ahead, without feeling we needed to complete a marathon to exercise it off! Needless to say the view from the window was spectactular!

We only stayed one night, but would not hesitate in returning here ... yes, the location is great, but now we know how lovely the B&B is, that's a good enough reason in it's own right.

We really enjoyed staying here. The room was comfortable and had plenty of amenities, including chairs, tea-making facilities, a hairdryer and sockets for USBs! The shower was nice and hot; the en suite was small but very tastefully decorated, with a wonderful view over the loch (we had the bedroom that overlooked the loch at the front of the house). There were plenty of nice things on offer for breakfast, including a wonderful fresh fruit platter! There was free wifi available which was also a bonus.
