We have visited the Glenisla Hotel four times this week for meals. Each time we have been served top quality food by friendly staff. We have eaten from both the "all day" menu with an extensive specials board and the "high tea" menu. High Tea (which is served 4pm to 6pm and must be booked in advance) is tea or...

Chose this hotel as had driven past it before and liked the area.Booked last room available and when we arrived were greeted by the owner and shown to a very nice room with enormous bed.The room overlooked the front of hotel with view of fields and forestry, with ducks, horses.curlews and gulls. The food is excellent, staff friendly, and room comfortable. Will be back.

Phoned up at short notice so we could ski at Glenshee (25 mins away), and the owner was very helpful, accommodating the family in two adjacent rooms. The rooms were nice and cosy and clean with pleasant decor in various shades of tweed. The ones above the bar, are a bit noisy, but that's only a problem if you go...

We just drove up to Glenisla for a walk but the weather was terrible. So we decided to go to the Glenisla Hotel for some lunch arriving about 2pm . The new owners have doen an awful lot with the hotel, barf being re furbished, rooms renewed and giving the hotel that 'country' look and more importantly feel. For lunch...

During a winter couples break in nearby Glenshee, we selected this hotel for lunch on our anniversary. We wanted a small and friendly restaurant, within a short drive and with a good menu. We were not disappointed. Once we had made the journey along the 5 miles of winding country roads, we were surprised by how busy the car park...

A remote spot, ideal for that away-from-it-all experience - yet this small hotel is buzzing with life: a tribute to the energy of its owners and the excellence, in a straightforward, unfussy way, of the restaurant - oh, and not forgetting the beer: a great choice of real ales! A good experience all round.

Super hotel - we loved it! The new owners are working their way through the hotel refurbishing rooms one by one and with great future development plans too. We had room 3 and the room was full of nice furniture, bedding, huge TV set with umpteen channels and extra touches incl. boot tray for walking boots, nice toiletries and enough...

Visited this hotel hoping to grab something to eat after a long walk in the mountains. Very welcoming and couldn't do enough to make us comfortable, including the dog!!! We had thought we would have to leave her in the boot of the car!!! Fantastic food including amazing roast beef which my daughter couldn't finish so it was wrapped up...
