We visited on Friday 18th December to try out the special Christmas offer. Staff were very friendly and efficient, observing Covid regulations very well. Maesmawr Hall is a beautiful location, just opening the heavy front door gives a sense of occasion ! We had pre-booked our meals due to one person being gluten free, the gluten free options were extensive - a welcome bonus. We were promptly seated in the dining room, and our meals arrived, food was delicious, well presented and piping hot. Staff became aware that this was a birthday treat for my husband and when the coffee and mince pies arrived, the Christmas music stopped and 'happy birthday' was played instead, with a totally unplanned birthday treat arriving for him 🎉🎂 Thank you for a great meal and the extra surprise, little touches can be extra special. We hope to return again. Thank you again for a great meal.

We really enjoyed our stay. Felt very safe with the Covid changes in place. We arrived early evening to a roaring open fire and friendly welcome. Great atmosphere in the old building. Very good breakfast and evening meal in the lovely dining room. The gentleman who signed us in and who we saw most of, was exceptional in making sure we had a lovely visit.

We visited this hotel for 2 nights but could have stayed longer. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The food was lovely with large portions. Very quiet except for the odd cow or sheep noise we didn’t hear any other rooms while we stayed.
