In general, the hotel is OK, not less but also not more. + Location is really nice. Direct beach access only 3 minutes from hotel + Lobby/Entrance looks very nice + The premise is well maintained. All trees and flowers etc are really beautiful. + Coffee was good....really...! - The rooms seemed old. The furnitures seemed like from the 90s. Especially for the prices that we paid, we found it too expensive. We booked the most expensive room (Suite). - The shower was really small. We are both rather small and even we could hardly move - Only very few power outlets in the room. None near the beds. - Only one tiny elevator for a 7 story building - Walls between the rooms were really thin. We could hear everything from the room next door - Like others mentioned, towels cost extra. - Breakfast/Dinner location is a huge hall. In summary, if you only need the rooms for sleeping, the hotel is a good choice. If you plan on spending time in the room (e.g. with a baby), this may not be the perfect location. And we found it too expensive for what we got.…
It all started when I got to the hotel: at the checkin they asked me to sign a paper for Covid-19, which included the marketing flags but with my surprise instead of the three legal flags for marketing, only one flag was listed, with the whole 3 options together (which is illegal). It carried on with: old structure (very 1970s), poor cleaning of the rooms, poorly cooked self-service meals that were not what was listed in the displaying badge on the counter, a wine a la-carte (fairly good one) that was almost double the price of what you could buy it (same producer, same year) in a winery or online, and a white wine (Ribolla Gialla) that was credited on my room with an acceptance paper that was not signed. I have never took that wine and contested immediately during checkout, but I was thinking: really a 4 starts allows Reception to register a bottle of wine to a client's room without a signed receipt? All of this in a scenary of ugly beach and sea. Not worth the expensive price, and not only for the dated structure, the poor cusine and the ugly sea and beach, but mainly due to the fact you feel the staff makes mock of you. All except the lifeguard, he's fairly nice. I will never book it again.…
I hesitated whether to write a review at all because the staff were so lovely to us - everyone incredibly helpful and professional. Highlights included the fast checkin and ease of parking, friendly staff, and wow the outdoor spaces were wonderful especially the pools and grounds. I love the walk through the lines to the beach area (although I wish the beach had been less crowded - there was no sign of a covid panic on the beach...(!)) All outdoor spaces including the playground made this a wonderful trip for us and our two year old son. The two kid friendly pools were great. I would say my only disappointments were at we waited a full thirty minutes for breakfast to open on Sunday after being told breakfast is served at 7:30-10, doors didn’t open until 8 and we all stood in line hungry and socially distancing - I wish they had just told us it would have been 8. They insisted on setting every table in the huge dining room while about twenty families queued - it would have been better if they opened and continued to set tables after especially since there was no table service anyway.... I would also say the main lobby elevator could use an upgrade and we would have preferred a room with a bathtub for our son. Apart from these small things the hotel overall is in a lovely location with wonderful people and we would return perhaps keeping in mind to look for a room upgrade.…
Our family of three had a nice week at Marinetta and enjoyed the beach and the lovely walk to the beach through the forrest. The hotel was nicer inside than outside and the staff was always helpfull :)
Lovely hotel in an excellent position. First class food, very good service. Also very clean and good sized bedrooms. 2 good sized pools, good access to the beach, although a little disappointed as it is shingle.
