We tacked on a couple of days in Johannesburg almost as an afterthought onto our Cape Town vacation. Although we booked Ekala mostly because of the great pricing for a bundle including tours, accommodation, airport pickup/drop off and food, Ekala turned into one of the highlights of our trip! Not only is the guesthouse absolutely beautiful, the level of hospitality... More

I had a wonderful time in Johannesburg and staying at the Ekala Guest Farm. What a beautiful home with wonderful guest rooms. I stayed in the main house in the Guinea Fowl room which was truly lovely with its own full bath with a shower and a tub. The landscape there is beautiful and just walking down the long drive... I had the best time ever with Ekala. Janet took care of me and shared her knowledge and passion for the town and the sites with me. It was a fantastic experience from the first minute to the last. The accommodation is amazing and Linda is a great Cook. I felt spoilt :) .The day in pilanesberg was stunning and... More

We were looking to visit South-Africa and after a while decided to look for a guide. We found Ekala and discovered the Davis family, who arranged an airport to airport twelve day visit to Johannesburg, Krugerpark, Pilanesberg, Pretoria and so much more. We were amazed by the sheer expertise and passion for everything related to and living in South-Africa. People... More

My flight was delayed but it was no problem at all. Janet, Linda and Malcom were really flexible. The made me feel very welcome and I had a great time staying with them, it was really familiar and I felt like being at home. Linda prepared a delicious dinner and an awesome breakfast bag the next morning. :) I will... More

We had less than 20 hours in johannsburg and got a great tailor-made tour from Malcolm of Soweto and a quick but detailed synopsis of South Africa's history. We relaxed at the guesthouse for a night and enjoyed Linda's home-cooked local dishes and eating with the family. My only regret is not having more time so we will need to... More

I have chosen Ekaka based on evaluations posted in Trip Advisor. It seemed everyone left Ekala with a complete feeling of happiness. So I decided to try as well. The three famous members of Ekala's family ( Malcolm, Janet and Linda ) are really the best hostesses. Actually I haven't met Malcolm in person but for the service my family... More

We had a wonderful stay with Malcolm, Linda, and Janet. They told us that they wanted us to feel at home in their home and we did. They were gracious hosts. The food was wonderful, the conversations enlightening, the rooms were welcoming, the location and grounds were beautiful. It was particularly nice and convenient to be picked up at the... More

Malcolm picked us up at JNB then took us to the Guest Farm for a rest before our tours. We had been on the planes for almost 30 hours so he was a sight for sore eyes. The Guest Farm was very comfortable, had all of the things we needed to feel at home. AND Linda's wonderful food to fuel... More

Malcom picked us up at the airport after our 30 hours of traveling, took seven of us to the farm for a few hours rest. Each room was different, we had one upstairs overlooking the pool, fantastic. Linda and Janet served us some refreshments. Linda prepared a wonderful lunch before Malcolm took us to The Cave of humankind. After another... More
