If you are looking for a place to camp that is second to none, this is your place. The staff are awesome. They make you feel like a part of their family! They do activities everyday with the kids. My kids can't wait to get back out there! There is a playground and a beach area that kids really enjoy. This park is very clean. Canada weekend is a big thing at the park, they have many activities for the kids where they actually award medals for first, second and third place. Their anniversary weekend is also big, with games for the kids and a potluck supper. They also donate money raised at these events to The Children's Wish Foundation. Oh and lets not forget Dr.Freeze!! A friends little girl fell off her bike when we first started camping out there, the next thing we knew someone was telling her to go to the store and ask for Dr.Freeze! So she went and her mom asked and sure enough they got her a freeze, and of course everything was ok after that. Overall, I don't have anything bad to say about this park.

We never entered the park but the restaurant "The Copper Kettle" just outside on the highway was warm, clean, bright, cozy, great service, shot menu, and the food was fresh and amazing. The prices fair

I grew up coming to this park every summer with my family on our camping trips. Forward 40-odd years later, and my first visit back to NL in 7 years, my hubby and I grabbed a campsite for two nights and all my childhood memories of this place came back- granted it was no longer a “ Provencial Park” and now privately owned but the experience was top notch! Beautiful campground that is maintained wonderfully, clean and very spacious washrooms & showers, great little convenience store with everything you need AND a take out menu, and a nice clean laundry room. The best part though was the ladies at the office area - WONDERFUL!!! - and that is an understatement. Even the local full timers who stay here are so friendly…. Our “fish box” load of firewood was even delivered to the campsite. STAY HERE if you’re coming through.

I cannot say enough good things about this park. This park has clean and private sites which have electrical and water hookup. A lot of very clean and flushable toilets throughout the park. Beautiful playground for kids and great trails throughout the park for kids on bikes or even going from site to site. The staff are very friendly. Prices are very reasonable at the park and store. We stayed at highly recommended parks and still found Square Pond to be the best.

We have been to this park several times over the years. Spent Canada Day there last year. They always have fun activities for the kids throughout the summer and the Canada Day Parade was certainly very enjoyable. There is a convenience store on site to purchase basic necessities, and the take-out has wonderful food when you are enjoying yourself too much to bother cooking a meal. Very friendly staff that are always nearby if you need them. A great place for families, no loud parties here.

Our friends arrived back from Florida so I helped them unpack and suggested we go to Copper Kettle, square pond for dinner. We all ordered Newfoundland cod dinner with scrunions, fresh French fries, cole slaw, and a toasted garlic bun.It was a perfect dinner and all four enjoyed the fish.(COD). We were do full that we could not have dessert.i would recommend the meals there to anyone.

Businesses generally list the address of the owners location. Unfortunately, this can be troublesome for the tourist and leads to more homework and possibly misdirection. Hope this offers some insight.
