Visited The Tower Bank Arms for lunch during a visit to Beatrix Potter's Hilltop Cottage which is situated next door. I have visited Near Sawrey a few times and have never ventured into this lovely pub. I wish I had now! Very cosy and welcoming. I ordered a drink whilst looking at their lunch menu which had lots of choice....

Never did we think when we left South Africa that we would feel as alive, connected and joyful as we ALL did at the Tower Bank Arms. The family were in the four bedrooms which were lovely with crisp white cotton bedlinen, the food was wonderful, the ambience brilliant and Jimmy, the barman, exceptional, unique and full of love. We...

A real pub which doesn't pretend to be a restaurant. Excellent pub food (large portions to satisfy a days walking!) Good ales and the wines not bad either. Great atmosphere - very friendly mix of locals and visitors, children and dogs. Apart from the lovely location in Near Sawrey, what really makes this pub so special is its superb landlord...

A great little pub that serves fabulous food and Real Ale. Very welcoming and friendly staff. We sat outside with our drinks and enjoyed the view. Great place to both eat and stay. Made all the more special because of its link to Beatrix Potter.

A very quaint and cosy pub with a nice mix of locals and tourists. The room was very comfortable and for once I actually had a bed that...

After a hard day's walking in the Lake District what better reward than a nice pint and a warm fire.Parking near the pub is limited but back towards the village there is a National Trust car park, this made the pub less than 100m.

After a good walk, great place to stop for a drink and a good roast dinner in a great beer garden in a fantastic position. Bar man was superb and looked after us well. We'll walk via this place again.

We wanted to take our daughter to the Beatrix Potter house on our way to a wedding in Keswick. It was just before 12:00 and she needed feeding, we decided to wait and eat in the pub first. When we went in there we was greeted my the lovely friendly staff and Jimmy played with lily (watch for the spider)...

Popped in twice last weekend after our walks for a relaxing pint and glass of wine. Very pleasant bar area and nice chatty landlord. The food looked excellent. Would definitely return if in the area again.
