If you want to be close to the square, this is a good choice. Service on checkin was excellent but for the fact that Google maps took us to the wrong place. If you have a car, you need to call the hotel a few minutes before so they open the gate into the parking lot. Room was large and clean and the air conditioner worked well. The coffee maker malfunctioned but you don’t want to drink that coffee anyway. They will will bring coffee from to the room for a reasonable price. By Tequis standards, the hotel is pricey. To be fair, not all services were available because the town was mostly closed when we were there due to COVID. We intend to try again once the pandemic subsides to the point that city is fully opened again.

Our family decided to go on a two day visit to Tequisquiapan during the week. The hotel grounds were beautiful, the staff was very kind and helpful, the pool area was a nice retreat. Whom I believe was the manager or the owner was extremely accommodating when I was having issues with my computer accessing their internet. I was able to get my work done thanks to her. Our bedroom, and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The beds and linens were much better that most hotels in Mexico. Hard beds are easy to find down there, so I was pleasantly surprised. The pool was the perfect temperature, and the jacuzzi was heated for us every night. We just had to let them know what time we wanted to use it. We only had breakfast at the restaurant, and the food was good. Two things I believe they need to work on are: having window screens (the mosquitoes are out of control), and installing air conditioners in the rooms, it was hot at night even though it was cool outside. I would have expected this for their pricing structure. Overall, our experience was very good, and would return again.

In a beautiful town named Tequisquiapan, State of Queretaro, Hotel Boutique La Granja is really a standout Hotel, located only a couple of minutes walking near the main Plaza.
I stayed there during the weekend and had one of my best experiences ever!!!
The experience begins right after you step in. You will find a beautiful patio with a water fountain sorrounded by some of the rooms, it's really peaceful.
As I checked in, I was welcomed by one of the staff members, whom was very helpful and knowlegable about the place and town. Later on I met Raul, whom was very nice person, but above all, very attentive to my needs and caring for every single detail.
The rooms are inmaculatly clean and very comfortable. As you walk through the property, you end up at a bigger patio and garden with a swimming pool, an outdoor jacuzzy and the restaurant. When you think you've seen the whole place, take a few steps away from the swimming pool there's an indoor jacuzzy and right beside the restaurant, you'll find a very cozy bar!!!
Best of all, towards the end of my visit, I got to meet the beautiful family that owns and runs this hotel, to find out they're great hosts and very welcoming. After chating with them I could really feel how much effort and passion they've put into their business to provide an excellent service. This Hotel is a must when visiting Tequisquiapan. If you're near the area I highly recommend it, it's totally worth the trip to Tequisquiapan only to enjoy a great stay in this remarkable hotel and if you're lucky as I was, maybe you'll get to meet this wonderful family. I can honestly say that I already miss this place and I'll go back for sure in a near future.

I normally won't write a review unless I feel strongly about something, and the disappointment I felt with this hotel was worth writing about. First of all, they falsely advertise a jacuzzi and pool that functions, because neither of them were prepared when we arrived. They kept promising the jacuzzi would be operational, but it never was. The water, even for our shower, was only luke-warm. Our suite was definitely less than I expected and we payed WAY too much for what we got. I have never stayed in a hotel where I actually wanted my money back, or at least a portion of it. If this hotel were more reasonably priced, advertised correctly and offered a fraction of the services and top quality they profess to provide, we would not have been so disappointed.

We visited Tequisquiapan during a weekend in October 2010 and made a reservation in this hotel to spend 2 nights. Our surprise was that once we arrived to the hotel, our room had been already sold to another customer eventhough we had a confirmed reservation.
And one would think that if this happened to you the person at the front desk would try its best to get you in another room or something like that, but it was exactly the other way around. The "lady" of the front desk was rude and unrespectful which caused us a bad moment and then we moved to a much better hotel in town which was Villa Florencia where we received the best service. We do not recommend to stay in this hotel because there are much better ones such as Villa Florencia, Maridelfi, Sol y Fiesta wher you are treated respectfully and you receive great service.

We were looking for a boutique hotel or a B&B in Tequisquiapan, but the choices are somewhat limited. We ended up here which was OK. The room and bathroom are large, clean, and modern. I think we may have been one of the very few guests at the hotel. I believe it is a bit overpriced for what you get. The staff were friendly enough, the pool did not look clean enough for me to want to take a dip.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend of wine tasting and vineyard exploring. The hotel is very centrally located a short walk from the heart of Tequisquiapan. It has a sparking clean pool, a nice hot jacuzzi you can reserve by the hour in advance, and safe, secure parking. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and our room was immaculate. The windows have mosquito screens so no worry about pesky critters biting you at night, and the room also had a nice big air conditioner, though we didn't need it this time of year. The bed was super comfortable (we had the king junior suite on the second floor) and the water pressure was strong and hot! I wish I had a shower like that at home.

So why only 4 stars? Well, there were some things that we found deficient. For starters, there was no fridge of any kind in the room. Being in the heart of wine country, it would seem logical to have a mini fridge for purchases or for your own personal beverages. Which brings me to the next point - in the heart of wine country, the room lacked any sort of glassware (other than the bathroom glasses) and you have to RENT a corkscrew if you want one, and it's 120 pesos! You can also "rent" the wine glasses from the restaurant as well. We found this really inappropriate, and we were able to buy a corkscrew for 40 pesos at a tienda down the street. We had so many free wine glasses from our many tours that we just rinsed those out and used those. I can understand the concern - maybe they are worried about stains on the bedding, but that's something that can be cleaned and charged to the guest if it happens. I will say that they can bring you drinks to the pool and jacuzzi, and they were reasonably priced (90 pesos for a mojito and they were STRONG and authentic), but we didn't try the food from the restaurant. SO overall, we were pleased with our stay - just a little annoyed by some small things that we think should be included in a hotel in this region. The room was so huge they DEFINITELY had the space for a mini-fridge and microwave (also not included in the room) if they wanted to add them. Still, overall I would recommend this hotel - just bring a corkscrew and your own wine glasses.

Great location an easy walk into the Plaza, stores, galleries and restaurants. Secure off street parking a real plus. Our upstairs king room was quiet, clean and had a comfortable bed. Good shower in a nice sized bathroom.

Our guess is that weekdays may be slim pickings for hotel guests and they might help themselves by lowering their rates on weekdays? We didn't spot another guest the night we stayed there.
