The area has amazing scenery and the comfort station is well kept. The mosquitoes were terrible! We couldn’t sit outside at all, there were that many. We had site 33. It was small and dark. Encroaching fir and spruce branches prevents natural light from getting in. If it weren’t for the beautiful beach we would’ve moved to a different campground altogether. The only serviced sites are in an open field. While there’s a lot to offer in the area we won’t be back to this particular campground.

This campground in Gros Morne National Park had self registration. We liked being able to drive around and pick our own site. There were two loops in the campground; the sites in the first loop (1-33) were more wooded. We opted for site #31 the first night we stayed in the campground. We returned a few nights later and stayed at site #27. The comfort station was very clean and had running water and showers. There was a trail to a large beach on the Gulf of St. Lawrence. We were there in June and the campground was very quiet at that time of year. We had an enjoyable stay both nights!

We stayed for a week at the Shallow Bay campground. Site 28 good privacy. Beautiful shallow sandy beach for swimming. Clean bathrooms. This campground is close to the Warehouse Theatre in Cow Head where we went to the excellent Gros Morne Theatre Festival.

Be careful not to take sites on the edge (including 8, 10, 12, 14) of the loop. The trees along the back of these sites have been cut down, probably because they are close to power lines. Like camping next to a clearcut, removed privacy.

Really enjoyed our stay. The guy who checked us in was friendly and polite, very good customer service. Our site was private. The campground was nice, pretty and very quiet. The shower & bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained.
This was our 2nd stay and we will be back.

Good quality Parks Canada campsite right next to Shallow bay which is a beautiful sandy beach. The Pitches are in a woodland setting and the Shower Block / outdoor kitchen has been upgraded and appeared to be brand new for 2019, with good showers etc. Much nicer than any of the privately owned sites i stayed at. One point to note is that like most campsites the pitches are on gravel and not designed for tent pegs. Cow head is an interesting place to visit for a couple of hours, General Store, lighthouse and shore line trails right on the doorstep of the campground.

Great place, the otentics could be stocked more for tourists coming to this park, could have played, utensils, glasses, pots pans, ect. In other provinces the otentics are better stocked, but we were prepared so loved it

The campground is in a beautiful area of Gros Morne National Park, next to a sandy coastal beach. However, the campground facilities are showing the signs of age and maintenance is not up to par. For example, showers were not kept sufficiently clean during our stay. As well, some of the campsites are small and are not separated from neighbouring sites. The lack of both space and privacy negatively impacted our camping experience. We likely will return to Gros Morne - the scenery is stunning - but we will select a different campground.

Answer from Kaleb B
Just wondering because me and my friends were thinking of staying there this summer and we have no idea how much it cost for a night in a cabin or a park pass
