I stay at le chateau at least once a year since more than 5 years. I am not used to drop reviews on tripadvisor but. With what happened in Paris and Brussels the whole region is suffering and it's a shame. My venue is always special. The owners make the utmost to make my stay enjoyable. The welcome, the garden,...

Not often did we have such a warm welcome as we had with Tim and Margreeth at Chateau des Lys, it felt like we were old friends. We had a party with some friends at this beautiful chateau and they cooked us a delicious dinner. To our surprise, after dinner, Tim took his guitar to play and sing with us...

We had a great stay in the Chateau des Lys with a group of good friends. The chateau is very charming, the surroundings are beautiful, the food is very good and Tim and Margreeth are great hosts. Make sure that your prepare yourself with the lyrics of your favourite songs so you can sing a long with Tim next to...

If you are looking for a relaxing escape with friendly hosts, look no further. We stayed here for three nights. The breakfast is varied -- eggs, croissant, meat, yogurt, cheese, granola, etc. The area is calm and quiet. The warm hosts provided us with many recommendations in the area. We Recommend staying here if you're in the area !

We stayed one night on our way south from the UK and enjoyed it so much we booked to stay again on our way back. Despite arriving very late due to traffic we had a very warm welcome and within minutes were sitting down with a glass of wine and a delicious home cooked meal in front of us. Exactly...

We stayed for three nights in de famlily room. Both rooms, for us and the children, are spacious. With good beds and nice shower. Tim en Margreeth are very hospitable and do their very best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The atmosphere is cozy. We are making plans to come back soon!

Arrived in the afternoon and stayed for a night. Tim and Margreeth were genuine, welcoming hosts in this lovely chateau. The facilties were abundant: a kitchen to raid for coffee and tea, delicious dinner (in table d'hotes setting) and breakfast as well as a swimming pool to cool down during a warm day and a substantial garden to relax in....

Charming overnight stop, Tim was a very welcoming host! Breakfast was abundant too! If you have time, the parkland looked beautiful...lots of space if you have children who need to burn off energy. There were 3 trampolines and a pool...none of which we had time to use!! Good luck with restoring the bell and all the other work in progress...

Thanks Judith much appreciated, if you want to help restore the bell (which seems too dangerous for me) you're very welcome xxx Thanks for the review, really helps.

Very good accommodation in a spectacular chateau. We enjoyed the nice surroundings as well as the pool. The family room was great with good beds and a separate room for the kids. Tim was a very welcoming host and arranged a great breakfast buffet including his own scrambled eggs. We only had time to stay for one night passing through...

Really appreciate the effort and thank for the kind words- welcome back any time, this a brilliant part of France to explore. We've just found a new restaurant 5 minutes away, never knew it existed and it's brilliant!

We stayed 3 nights and felt really comfortable here. Tim is an interesting chap - well-educated, loves a good debate, and great on the piano. We spent quite a lot of time on the covered verandah (wi-fi is strong here, not so strong in the room) and it felt more like staying at a friend's place. The chateau is awesome,...

Loki was the Valhalla gagman wasn't he? Thank you for this lovely review you guys, our first from Down Under. Apologies for the "Good Debates" I know that I can be a tad over zealous when it comes to certain things. Sorry this reply is late- first chance I've had since the spring. Take care and thanks for coming Tim...
