We discovered this place recently despite living just 40km away and frequently visiting the area for the last 7 years. A small rustic restaurant set in shaded gardens where many of the salads used in the meals are grown. Reasonable selection of Western and Lao food with substantially-sized servings on offer at a good price, although service can be a...

They have amazing (and cheap) food here, a free water refill, good WiFi and really nice staff. Definitely come here when you're around! We only checked out their restaurant, but bungalows look nice too. We saw people having the family dinner next too us, looks like a great deal :)

We did not book in advance, hence when we arrived, only a private bungalow for 80k was available. The bungalow was in good condition, clean and large with a hammock in front. We chose Palamei guesthouse because of the family dinner. This was actually not as good as we expected since we were two of approx. 15 foreigners taking part...

For 40,000 Kip, this accommodation offers excellent value. From this price, one should not expect many luxuries other than a simple, basic and clean room. In this respect, Palamei definitely checks all the boxes. However, the shared bathroom was a bit too dingy for my preferece and I would have paid more for a private option had I known earlier....

My boyfriend and I stayed there for one night when doing the loop around bolaven plateau. The room we had was cheap (40,000) but with shared bathroom. It was basic but pleasant to look at. Usually we avoid backpacking, touristy spots but there was not much choice to stay in Tad lo- few guest houses, no local restaurants- all of...

The food is delicious. We can't thank you enough for making our stay in Tad Lo special. The owner speaks fluent English. This place is highly...

We have been travelling from the south of Laos and are always sceptical of the western food and especially in the middle of nowhere! But this food was amazing! Finally a satisfying meal in Laos! Chicken with butter sauce and homemade chips and mash potato are all unreal! All of us couldn't have been happier after a big day of...

We took a rooms with private bathroom facing the beautifly quite field. Although not on the river, the new was so nice and calming. We had a hammock and chairs on the balcony overlooking it. We paid 60,000 kip for 2 people a night. The location was good. At dinner time the family invited us to helpful cook and eat...

This is a very nice guest house and a great price. 60,000 kip for 2 in a queen bed, private bath, fan and veranda looking over rice paddies. This guest house has freshwater refills, wifi and a restaurant that serves family style dinner for 35,000 kip per person. The night we were there, approx 20 people joined in the family...
