My story. I booked the room for one person and a dog for one night. I arrived and it was a bit of chaos as they had a major event in the dining room that night. Staff were rather pre-occupied with that (first hint at trouble - staff not dedicated to the hotel). This also meant that I was not able to get a meal at the hotel. Check in was OK and I got to my room - tho it seriously fealt I was not part of the hotel as the room is away and down stairs. Felt odd. Room itself is OK. Not great, not horrible. Appeared clean. Fun began at 230 AM when the fire alarm went off. No fire, false alarm, but all guests had to leave their rooms. It took OVER an hour to turn the alarm off and allow guests to return. Not much of an apology from the hotel - perhaps this is normal. During our forced evacuation, the hotel's night watchman tried to pick fights with other hotel guests. Why? Not sure. But he did try to get other guests involved to help him with the fight. Very bizarre behaviour. Fun continued AFTER I got home. I noticed that my credit card was billed TWICE for one night. So I emailed the hotel and they said YUP, I was correct, I did get billed twice. But I would have to call them to get it corrected. Why? Who knows, but they could take your money twice without the customer's involvement, but could not refund it without involving the customer. Oh, and it wasn't calling them that day, I was supposed to call the next day. Why? Who knows. Life got in the way so it took me a week to call back to the hotel. On my first call I was told that they were closed (despite someone answering the phone). That was weird. So I was told I had to call them the next day. The next day I called. I was told - oh, we're not in the office today. So maybe call tomorrow. HUH!!! The person on the phone, noticed my tone, and said that they would call me back tomorrow. GRRRRRR They then suggested I give them my credit card number and they would process the refund when they got in to the hotel. Great! Finally some positive action. NOPE Check my credit card statement and noticed that I got a refund. But not for the full amount. I got a 90% refund. Not 100% which I fully expected. I have another email off to the Inn because I know phone calls are useless to this company. Who knows, maybe I only got a partial refund as there is a service fee for dealing with hotel screw ups or perhaps the hotel charges an entertainment fee for middle of the night fire drills. I had really high expectations of this facility. What a let down. So my advice - check your credit card statements and ensure you can leave your room on short notice. I will not be stopping at this facility again.

Great stay in a very clean room. Had a late meal in their Pub that was fantastic. The wait staff very very informative and friendly. Travelled about the area during the day down to Loch Lomond and Grand River. Also out to Port Hawkesbury for a car wash.

Food and service are top-notch. Had the Seafood Pasta and for dessert the Gateau St. Honore - this is a real dessert, so don't miss it! Live entertainment sometimes happens, so if you are planning on a complete adventure go for the meal and the music; reservation recommended.

Had a fantastic stay here. The rooms are clean and comfortable and even had an electric fireplace that changes colours which was beautiful at night. I could see the water from my room which was a bonus. The food was incredible and the kettle chips are easily one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The dining room had live entertainment almost every night and there is a laundry room which is great because you can pack somewhat lighter. It takes both loonies and quarters so be sure to have both. The only tweak is make would be to the internet. In the lobby/dining room I could easily get 30 or 40 mbps, but in my room my devices were struggling to reach even five which made trying to work during my stay a bit harder. Overall it’s definitely a place that should be on your bucket list. I felt very at home there. Special shout out to the very sweet lady at the front desk. I didn’t catch her name but she always had a smile for me and helped me whenever I needed anything. I can’t wait to go back!

We stayed for 2 nights during Kitchenfest. Inn is very clean and rooms are very comfortable. We ate supper there both nights and the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Big shout out to Trina and Kevin for making our experience so great. Also to Wendy on the front desk for being so accommodating and helpful. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I stayed at this Inn June 3-7. We called just two weeks before and spoke to Nick who gave us a lot of details about this stay. We decided to book the cabin with a hot tub that had just been fully renovated and upgraded. The Inn is located right next to historic St. Peter’s Canal. The accommodations were fantastic. Very quiet and peaceful over looking Bras D’Ors lakes. Birdwatchers would love the cranes, eagles and a variety of other birds not to mention the foxes and the deer that came by the cabin. The food at the restaurant was top notch delivered to your door. Dustin, the chef has clearly worked at five star restaurants. The quality of what he served was as good as anything we’ve had elsewhere if not better. We would highly recommend the Lobster club and the tomato Crostini if it’s on the menu when you stay there. Many of the reviewers have stayed just a night on the way through Saint Peters. We stayed for four nights and explored the area. There’s ample to do with hiking in several parks, golfing, biking, and boating with kayaks and canoes available for use at the inn. Fishing on the canal for mackerel or on the lake for sea trout is a favourite activity for the locals. The town has everything you need within walking distance. Wendy and Nick were excellent in responding to all our questions and needs. They offered lots of suggestions of places to see nearby. We will back again once they fully open for the season!

Comfy beds, super clean room, and all the amenities and special touches. Restaurant food and service was A1. Would return again next time through. Beautiful views as well. You wont be disappointed.

I had a dinner meeting at the Inn with clients. Food was good as was the service. Our server was very friendly. We ordered Halibut. It was fresh and good. Server was friendly and good too. I would recommend the dining room. Music at the Pub was just beginning when we were leaving but it sounded interesting too
