We stayed here while driving through southern France for two nights. The atmosphere is so inviting and relaxing that I wished I had stayed longer. We used this place to go day tripping and returned in the evenings for a wonderful home-cooked meal each night.

Excellent stop on our Pyrenean cycling tour. Extremely helpful hosts. We would all love to visit again. The owner provided invaluable guidance for our ride. Puivert is a beautiful village and this hotel is perfectly situated. We enjoyed an evening meal over-looking the village with a fabulous view. Thank you.

Went Puivert for marvellous cycling in the Pyrenees. Stayed at Au Petit Verger with Martyn and Anne and all was excellent as usual. I recommend it to all walkers, cyclist and anyone who loves beautiful and dramatic countryside.

Thank you for making our first night so enjoyable. Nothing was to much trouble. Thanks also for recommending a visit to Mirepoix. Delightful. The climb up the tower at the old Castle is interesting. Typical non existant French health and safety at the top!

We only spent 1 night here and wished we could have stayed longer. Martyn was so helpful - he described restaurant options and suggested a route to walk the next morning. Our room was large, comfortable, and sunny with a private bathroom. The shower was great - one of the best we had in Europe! Breakfast was simple, good, and...

Spent a fantastic week at this friendly, family run chambre d'haute. The owners provided delicious 3 course evening meals as an option, with local wines, often using vegetables straight from their garden. Breakfast was simple - cereal, juice, fresh bread and croissants - but always filling and more than adequate. This is a fantastic location for cycling or hiking, with...

Have to agree with other reviewers - Martyn & family gave us a very warm welcome and lots of suggestions for things to do in the area during our three night stay. Food was great too. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Super friendly and informative English owners. They have cooked for us too for dinner. Loin of pork with veggies and 1 litre of wine. A real old fashion B&B. We sat down all night talking to the owner like if he was a good friend. Great feeling! Great breakfast. The walls were very thin. We could hear a guy talking...

Thank you for saying such nice things, you were good fun too! Sorry about Mike he was here on business and that changes peoples view of the world. Hopefully he didn't spoil your enjoyment too much and you will come back one day!

What a great place to stay. A charming quiet traditional French village with its own museum and chateau. Martyn and all the family were such lovely hosts we could not have been made more welcome. We will be back. Come on you blues.
