Lovely dog friendly accommodation. Very welcoming atmosphere with a good bar and food. The location is great for walkers and not far from Lynton and Lynmouth. We have stayed at the Blue Ball several times and would recommend it if you are taking your dog on holiday.

We entertained a local friend here, as her particular choice. The meals, drinks and service were very good. The choice on the menu was very varied and everything was well cooked and would have rated a 5 star review, had we not gone back for lunch a couple of days later. There was nothing wrong with the food and the...

The condition was very poor, nearly no running water, room hygiene was also very poor. The pillows smelled terribly. There is very low attention paid to rooms service. Breakfast was typical English breakfast, freshly made and of enough quantity. Nevertheless the dinner was excellent, it is highly recommended for trying. The pub has itself is of nice English style with...

We visited this pub with friends and was staying in the national trust property almost next door. We walked into the pub after a long drive on the Friday evening. We asked to order food and place an order for drinks and the first words to us were are you staying at the national trust property? when we answered yes...

My partner and I visited the Blue Ball inn for the 2nd time and we were not disappointed. The inn itself is homely, comfy and really rustic. The staff and owners are really helpful and friendly and welcome you like an old friend. The location is perfect and you can easily access 10+ walks in the surrounding area just outside...

We use this pub as a base for our Spring breakin Devon and it doesn't disappoint. Dogs love the place as do the staff love the dogs and that makes for a stress free life all round! The owners seem to listen to guests comments from checking out trip advisor as we had room 4 over the bar but no...

This is a great pub. Great beer, great food. Hence a 5. But still. The pub garden could be improved, and it's silly that there's no door from the pub into the garden (you have to walk all the way around). It seemed that was because the publican was worried about people absconding without paying. So I have to go...

Well cooked Sunday roast in nice surroundings in a pub that is out of the way. It's full of locals enjoying the place and the brilliant food it has to offer. It's very clean and the food was plentiful

The exmoor beast is not a lion like panther or cat, the roams the moors , but lives in the blue ball Inn as the current manger . Ready to take a chunk out of anyone that dares use his carpark despite being patrons of the pub spending £50 that night. Separating his prey from their friends we were not...

Our sentimental connection to the Blue Ball goes back decades. There is nothing like it for location and character, even with the massive extensions added in the 1980s. We returned after a few year's absence for B&B. It certainly is a very doggy friendly place now so you have to like them. We had a room in the old part...
