Great place to stay- we have stayed so many times and come back regularly.Nick, Phil Jackie and the team are so welcoming. Good food, comfy beds and a choice of 3 fireplaces to doze in front of , who can ask for more!

We have been to the area for many years and have eaten in the Blue Ball but never stayed. I won't stay anywhere else now! Amazing location for both walkers and dog walkers, the inn is so friendly and easy going, like a home from home. We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 dogs. The food is excellent as are...

We stayed here last night and loved it. Very atmospheric (plenty of tasteful Halloween decor) with a great cosy bar and highly attentive and friendly staff. A few pints of Exmoor Gold and a lovely Dinner rounded off the night beautifully. Oh, and the location is amazing - we were particulary lucky to have had a brilliant sunny Autumnal day...

The restaurants in Lynton were either full or not particularly welcoming so we went up the hill to The Blue Ball. Well worth the walk!!! no we drove. The put has many small eating areas and a good welcome on arriving. We ordered and the food came very quickly and was very good.

Spent a wonderful night here. The room was delightful, with the most beautiful view out the window across the neighboring lamb-filled fields. Food was very good, and the pub area is pet friendly, and very warm and cozy. Lovely old, historic, inn.

Make sure you book a table for Sunday lunch, it's well worth going out of your way for and the pub was packed when we went today. The roast comes with all the trimmings including a fantastic Yorkshire pudding and delicious pork cracklings, at £9 it's a ridiculously good deal. The Blue Ball is lovely and quaint, very dog and...

Ordered a fish and chips which was awful. The fish was far from fresh, chips dry and almost inedible, and something that resembled mushy peas but certainly did not taste like it. This place has been good in the past but standards have been falling for a while and sadly not worth a further visit.

Our fish is delivered daily and is always fresh supplied by S&J fisheries. We have, however, recently changed our fish and chips to glutton free batter, which most people seem to prefer. Yours is the first complaint that we have had this year and we often exceed 200 covers a day. I am sorry, however, that you did not enjoy...

Located on the road between Lynmouth and Ilfracombe on a high point of the moor this public house offers a great location for those travelling either on foot or by car. The public house is also dog friendly. The food on offer was pretty good fare with excellent beer, wine, and ciders. I can see this will be a popular...

Another visit to this charming inn and, again, we were sorry to leave. The rooms are basic but who wants to sit in the room when the local walks are so amazing. We set off after a good breakfast and walked all day. It was nice to come back, have a hot bath, and enjoy great food in the evening....
