Have stayed here twice in recent months and can't speak too highly of the place. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food and beer great and Phil and his staff could not be more welcoming. Perfect pub atmosphere!

Having spent many short breaks at the blue ball we decided to try a Christmas break and it was one of the best holiday decisions we have made. The food and accommodation could not be faulted, staff were friendly and our dog was treated as a vip. The weather was very mild for the time of year so walking in...

We stayed here last night and loved it. Very atmospheric (plenty of tasteful Halloween decor) with a great cosy bar and highly attentive and friendly staff. A few pints of Exmoor Gold and a lovely Dinner rounded off the night beautifully. Oh, and the location is amazing - we were particulary lucky to have had a brilliant sunny Autumnal day...

The restaurants in Lynton were either full or not particularly welcoming so we went up the hill to The Blue Ball. Well worth the walk!!! no we drove. The put has many small eating areas and a good welcome on arriving. We ordered and the food came very quickly and was very good.
