My wife and I stayed here whilst visiting family and friends. It was a great location as it is a 10 minute walk from family. The view is out of this world looming across to the hills of Hoy and Stromness. Kiff and Denise were fantastic hosts and we had a friendly welcome. They were always willing to help and...

Mission impossible to find an accommodation better than this. Try it! Very friendly family, great breakfast, fantastic view! The labrador Flo is really cute, the house is the most beautiful I have ever seen. The owners know everything about Orkney, the have many books on birds and it's very pleasant to chat with them. Our first visit to Orkney and we felt very lucky to be staying at Coubister for a week. It really lives up to its five star ratings on Trip Advisor. Everything is spotlessly clean and well appointed. Our spacious bedroom plus ensuite, together with the lovely guest living room were all on the upper floor of the house and had...

Our second visit to Coubister in early May was every bit as enjoyable as the first. We stayed longer this time as there is so much to see on the Islands. Denise is a mine of information on the locality and very helpful in booking ferries, restaurants, etc. The rooms and facilities are excellent and comfortable with beautiful views all...

What can I say? What a wonderful experience it was to stay in Orkney for a third time - each visit at Coubister. The facilities are first class and the hospitality unrivalled, nothing is too much trouble for Denise and Kiff. The cooked breakfast is to die for, especially those poached eggs which are cooked to a secret Orcadian recipe....
