i was amazed to read the recent unflattering review of Quinta Atlantis, which has prompted me to write this review. A friend and I were there in June and enjoyed a wonderful stay. Guy and Adelia were delightful hosts, offering excellent advice about where to go on the island and which restaurants had vegetarian options on their menus. This was...

We have visited the island of Sao Miguel four times during the last three years, and have stayed in 10 different accommodations. We are thus quite familiar with the island's offerings. We enjoy hiking and then relaxing in our chosen accommodation, having a swim, taking-in views of the hills or sea, and lethargically reading. Unfortunately this accommodation fell far short...

We first want to thank you for your comment. We are sorry that our guesthouse did not live up to your expectations. Your stay was marked by heavy winds which led you to the conclusion that there are no sheltered areas. In " normal" times our guests do appreciate the terraces and the garden for relaxing...It is our clear policy...

I had researched this place ahead of our stay but I wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived. We were blown away! The house itself is fantastic (great decorations and feels very homey). Leslie the housekeeper was great and made sure we had what we needed. The breakfasts were also delicious! The home is about 25 minutes from Furnas...

It a small, very custom hotel with nice and helpful hosts. The rooms are nicely decorated - each in a different theme. The breakfast was really great. Homemade food, fresh fruit, azorean cheese. The hosts allow mostly free access to the house. Some snacks are always provided during the day. The animals outdoors (cats and a dog) make quite the...

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we loved it. Adele and Guy were such gracious hosts. They really made us feel at home. They provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and places to see on the island. The rooms were very clean. The breakfasts were fantastic, consisting of fresh fruit (often from their garden), bread, meat, cheese,...

Quinta Atlantis is the best bed and breakfast that I have stayed at, and that includes many throughout Ireland and a few in the U.S. and Canada. The accomodations were cozy, quaint, clean and overall very comforting! Leslie was fantastic and made delicisous breakfasts and helped us plan our days in the area. I would stay here again if I...

After staying 7 nights in this accommodation we wouldn't go home... This B&B is very good. It is quietly located in a small town near the road, but this wasn't a problem. We stayed in the room 'Alma Açoriana' which is considered the most beautiful room of this B&B. The bed was long enough (we are Dutch :-)..) and the...

Exceeded expectations. Charming setting, delightfully gracious hostess Leslie, nice breakfast, good bed and shower. Very comfortable. Would eagerly return without hesitation. Dinner at restaurant in the town by the harbor was good.

Interesting experience in Quinta Atlantis. We were very well received by Leslie, the person in charge in Quinta. All was very well explained with all details about the amenities in the house. The room was like in an attic area, very large with an enormous bathroom. Our room has a private bathroom, but the rooms in the first floor have...

“The room 'Alma Açoriana' has the best views over the landscape/ocean.”

“We had the Hortensia Room and Souvenirs de Grand mere which are two downstairs rooms with a shared separate bathroom. It worked brilliantly for our family of four. Rooms were beautiful but this being said the other three rooms ( who have their private bathroom) are beautiful as well. Our rooms downstairs were huge and had big high ceilings which I loved. Although next to the breakfast room and seating area, noise was not an issue.”
