Used this as a base travelling for a family wedding. Such a warm friendly, welcoming hotel. All the staff were absolutely lovely. Rooms were spacious, very clean and the choice of 2 restaurants a bonus. Everything was done to ensure our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked which is so much nicer than the often found hot buffet. Even time for a chilly round of golf pre departure. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend in or around Derby. Thank you

Visited for a family party. The staff are very courteous and welcoming. Special mention to Tracy who made sure we had an excellent experience. The restaurant wall was very good. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Derby. Value for money!

Been here 5 times over past year. Each time served by Michelle. Can’t do enough for us. We’ve been as a couple, and family 50th birthday 6 of us, and the rest just me and my step mum. Michelle is polite smiley and really helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Very professional and friendly too. A real delight in this day and age of grumpy rude and obnoxious serving staff found in other establishments. Made sure we had everything we needed, never kept us waiting and everything as requested with food and no menus on the table. Savoury cream tea and all requests ordered in advance mainly by phone. Once via app. She even helped my step mum on with her coat instead of watching her struggle. Was really pleased to see her again today. My husband and I have visited Morley Hayes twice in the last week. Last Friday we visited as a family and today just the two of us. On both occasions we had fantastic meals with excellent service. The food is always good whenever you visit and the staff are very helpful. We would thoroughly recommend Roosters restaurant.

My normal "go to" for this area is the Marriott. But not great service last time so opted for a change Its a nice looking place. Although golf is the main feature with the hotel a distant second. Nonetheless modern, good size room. Bathroom a little tight but still had a bath Location means its silent at night, so thats a definite plus Main meal in the restaurant was very "pubby". Although huge menu so loads of choice Breakfast in the hotel had usual choice. Not extensive but then there are not many rooms. Pastries fresh, although coffee fairly strong and not fresh bean

So after a 2nd stay at Morley Hayes just wanted to say what a fantastic place this is to stay even if you aren't playing golf. From the welcoming staff, amazingly clean and luxurious rooms with great views of the local countryside to the outstanding food on site. We had yet another flawless meal in Roosters Bar, outstandingly fresh food of really high quality can only be topped off by the very best of service to all the restaurant staff. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so friendly and on top of their roles. Literally planning when we can come back :)

We stayed at Morley Hayes as a friend was having her 70th Birthday Party there. Everything went smoothly and my wife and I felt 'valued' by the staff - including the owner who made time to chat with us - the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent! There was a good range of Real Ale in the main bar, Roosters.

We stayed for two fabulous nights and were both totally impressed by every aspect of the hotel. The rooms were spacious with high-end furnishings and toiletries. The staff were friendly, efficient and professional in every way. The breakfast was delicious and the dining room was well presented and comfortable. It was impossible to find a fault anywhere. I would suggest that it’s four star rating is misleading when everything about our stay was most certainly of five star quality! Morley Hayes is now at the top of my list of best hotels I’ve ever stayed in!!
