What an amazing motel with spectacular view. Looks like ocean. Huge balcony with chairs to enjoy the view! I didn't want to leave! Very clean and renovated room. Very big. Bathroom was very clean and water pressure was great! Kids injoyed the beach! It's an amazing location. Not expensive and breathtaking view. The owner was super nice. He gave us bigger room an no extra charge and extra towels as we were 5 people. We slept so well!!! Very confortable beds! In a 5 star hotel I always end up asking for towels etc but here it was all thought through and we felt like family. Please do yourself a favour and come visit this motel. It was honestly a solid hotel stau in my rating! Good luck to the owner with thus beautiful place!

We originally booked a different hotel, but when we saw the view that this motel had, we told the owner we wanted to book a room here instead of the other spot we had...he took care of cancelling our other booking. It is a bit pricey for what you get, but we are in St-Simeon; it is a clean but dated motel. Comfy beds, good showers. Small rooms with a/c and fridge, balcony with a million dollar view...You're having a drink in the hot tub, watching whales in the St-Lawrence! Convenient location, next to the ferry.

I thought this was an okay place to stay given the price. The room was clean and had more space than we could possibly have needed. The bathroom was a little run down but clean and lots of hot water. The balcony was wonderful and looked out over the harbour. The staff was very friendly and made every effort to help me out even though I don't speak any French. There isn't a restaurant but there's a little diner around the corner that is okay. The tickets for whale watching were available at the desk and the bus will pick you up and drop you off at the motel. I thought was great for the cost. We stayed for two and loved it. We'll be going back soon!

I booked two rooms for my family. The front door was left open in the first room. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The back door screen was broken.

In the second room the TV did not work. The air conditioner was located on the top of the wall so I had to climb on the couch to turn it on which was a mistake.. The air conditioner would turn itself on and off randomly and it was so loud that it sounded like a jet plan taking off. The toilet did not flush properly. The bathtub was built about 6 inches above the bathroom floor so it was dangerous getting in and out.

Have someone who can speak French if/when you book a room because they won't speak English.

My wife and I were extremely disappointed with this motel and the manager. Our car broke down (engine dead) in Baie Sainte-Catherine and we got towed for the night in Saint-Simeon. The tow truck driver brought us to this motel. Lived in St-Simeon all his life and knows this guy. We thought, well, probably a decent place and the manager will take care of us as a result since we are referred, but not at all! The manager even though we were referred and arrived at 10:30pm on a Sunday night and he knew our situation and that we were getting towed again the next morning, was only interested in making money. He had many rooms available for us. Already with thousands of dollars this incident would cost us (happened on 1st day of our vacation so ruined the whole vacation), I wanted to pay the least amount for a night here. So the cheapest was $190 for a night and the room we got was disgraceful. The smallest room ever, the smallest bed ever and smallest shower ever. Even my 5'1", 104 lbs wife found the shower too small. It was hard for both of us to walk around the room with all our stuff it was so small. The next day we saw that they had many bigger and more beautiful rooms. We couldn't believe that the manager wouldn't put us in at least a decent room considering we were referred and it was 10:30pm and we had a big misfortune. It would have cost him nothing to do so. The next day the manager talked to me twice. I was just waiting for him to ask me about my night or the room to tell him the truth, but he never dared. No kidding. We would never go back there and do not recommend this motel to anyone. Greedy and cheap manager with no compassion. And the room we got should never belong in a motel like this nor be $190 for a night!!!

Terrible experience! Extremely rude and bad treatment. I booked a room by mistake while on the road & looking for a hotel in Rivière du Loop. I contacted the motel immediately to correct the error, but was surprised to be treated very rudely on the phone and charged full price for the room. The hotel staff continued to be very rude and unhelpful while we tried to follow up on charges afterwards and in fact hung up on the Booking.com representatives who were trying to sort this out. Shockingly bad treatment and terrible customer service! Do not book at this place!

Horrible! Stay away as they lack in communication skills and charged us $355 for a room we had cancelled. We don’t want this to happen to anyone else. When we called to discuss, we were hung up on. Then when we called back the manager refused to speak to us unless we spoke French. She screamed at us and refused to help. There are some real anger issues here. Stay away!

We booked a room for 4 at this motel approximately 6 months in advance, via email. I received an email confirming the room, date and rate that I had requested. The gentleman that emailed me did not request a credit card, so I did not provide it. I did, however, print this email confirmation to bring with us. We booked this motel based on its proximity to the ferry boat as we planned an early morning departure to the Gaspesie.

On arrival, I was greeted by 2 people, a man and a woman. They were polite, but very unprofessional. Long story short, they did not have my reservation and although I was able to show them proof that I had made one, they would not acknowledge the error that was made by their booking "staff". It was infuriating. they offered my the only room they had left, at twice the rate we had booked for. They kept saying how "sorry" they were, but I pointed out if they were really sorry they would give me the bigger room for the same rate I had booked for. "oh no, we can't do that!", they said. WHY NOT? This would have been the right thing to do, and good business.

The room we had was large, but very outdated. I would not have minded this for $89 a night, but for $170 it was very overpriced. the bathroom was so small that there was not even a spot to put a tube of toothpaste on the sink. It was basically clean and well kept. the view was lovely.

This motel is what I expected it to be, and I was not dispointed in the motel itself. The unprofessional attitude of the staff, however, left me feeling very upset & feeling very ripped off. What is the point of booking 6 months in advance, if this is what you get? my lesson learned- always give the credit card #, even when not asked.

Would I stay here again? NO WAY! my recommendation if you are visitng Ste. Simeone:find another motel nearby who care about customer service and good business practices.

As soon as I opened the door, the smell of urine was powerful and disgusting. I called the office and they came in to spray the room. This was a temporary fix. The smell of urine came back. There is carpet in the room. Urine smell cannot be removed from carpet. The carpet must be changed.

The balcony door and screen door must be changed. The balcony must be redone. I felt that it wasn't safe to walk on the balcony.

The love seat was older and soft.

There is a place to hand your clothes very close to the small fridge. If you open the fridge door, the clothes are in your face.

The bathroom is small. There are no place to put your things (no shelf). The toilet and the sink are new but the bathtub is old and very small. It is good for a child or a midget. An adult cannot take a bath. When you take your shower, you have to put both the shower curtain and the shower liner in the bathtub otherwise you will have water on the floor. The shower head is low so if you are 6' tall, not very practical.

The mirrors were cleaned but the frame hanging over the double beds were dirty.

There was a nice square dinning table with two chairs. However, the material recovering the chairs was stained.

I felt that the only good thing about this place is the location and the view. It is close to the ferry and the view is nice.

I've booked 3 months in advanced for 2 rooms for 4 people staying one night. When I arrived the receptionist check us in in 1room with 2 double bed, I explained that I have a CONFIRMED booking for 2 double rooms, but he keeps on telling me that the motel is full to the capacity and that is the only room available and said for us to cancel if we are not satisfied. Then a woman came over and said that the best they can do is to arrange for us to stay in the other motel. This is the most IRRESPONSIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL motel I had the misfortune to encounter, where confirmed booking means nothing and sending guest away in the height of the season. So beware those that are planning to stay at this motel.
