Cabot shores is a great place to escape the noise of civilization and connect back to nature. I was looking for a camping style cottage-like-resort and was referred to the Yurts. We stayed in the forest yurt with a hot tub on both nights. It was a snow covered wonderland, on the 4th we snowshoed the Red Island Trail just...

What a beautiful place to reconnect with nature. Meditation, great hikes, and great vegetarian food! Definitely going to come back in the summertime, cannot wait! Wonderful stay, would highly recommend.

I found Cabot Shores after doing a fair bit of research on glamping In Cape Breton and this seemed to exceed all of my thoughts and expectations so I was so eager to arrive after booking. I planned this trip as a celebration for my five year anniversary so I wanted to do something unique, special and exciting. I booked...

Cabot shores was a beautiful place to stay for our first visit to Cape Breton. We stayed in the Big Red Yurt which has a beautiful water front view. We did the "Snow much Fun " and "Deluxe" package which included the hot tub, sauna and guided snowshoeing and breakfast and dinner for 2. The breakfast is small with eggs...

We had the red yurt. It was AWESOME. The yurt stayed pretty toasty all night with the woodstove going. Had a great view of the water from the deck off the yurt. Loved that the cell reception wasn't that great because it forced you to go off grid for a bit and we all need that sometimes. The wood fired...

We are local to the area and attended the Cabit Shores annual New Years Day Levee and Polar Bead swim. Great hospitality, great food and beautiful surroundings. I am going to return for another meal with my visiting family in the summer.

I have never felt so recharged as I did with only one night at Cabot Shores! It is rare for some people to consider a winter getaway, but I have to say that this was the most wonderful vacation - and it was only 40 minutes from our home! We were so secluded in nature's peaceful beauty- we didn't want...

I visited Cabot shores shortly after losing my father, for a self-guided, reflective retreat to help heal from his loss. And what a magical spot, completely surrounded by nature. I stayed in the forest yurt, a private, peaceful, Mongolian style tent that was both rustic and luxurious. Days were spent hiking in the Highlands, while nights were spent stargazing from...

A family, a yurt, a wood-stove with a crackling fire, a hot tub (with gently falling snow), a lodge with access to convenient facilities and services including recreational activities, trails to explore with snowshoes, starry night skies, proximity to a beautiful National Park, and to top it all off, friendly service. It was our first family winter camping adventure and...

As a local, I'm very familiar with what's happening on the island however I was completely amazed by this hidden gem! The grounds hosted a main lodge, yurts, tree houses and domes. We stayed in the Mangolian Yurt. The bed and sofas were cozy, the fire was easy to use which kept us warm, and they supplied Lots of wood...

“Cell phones don't have service/wifi in the rooms, which was perfect for us! It truly allows you to connect with nature and not just sit on your phone. There is service and wifi in the lodge, if you need to work! ”
