Stayed at the hotel as a base to do some hill walking. Friendly and professional staff and relaxing stay. Lovely meal in the restaurant, better than expected. Comfy bed and happily accepted our dogs. Highly recommend

Over night stay for 8 of us. Very friendly atmosphere and excellent pub style food. Breakfast was above average for 3 star hotel. Rooms clean and spacious. Bar was well stocked and not too expensive. Would definitely use again for golf outing. Better wifi than many 5 star hotels and it's free!

Had a bit of a nightmare on Monday with my house being flooded but already had this booked for Tues. As it was not looking too realistic . I gave the hotel a call and spoke with one of the most accommodating hoteliers that I have come across (I have been in this business previously) He was amazing and agreed... More

Just back from a excellent weekend golfing in the area where thirteen of us stayed for two nights DB & B at the Alyth. What to say about David, his staff and the hotel. Well nothing bad that's for sure, from my initial contact with David a few months previous through to checking out nothing was too much problem for... More

We first stayed here on a Groupon voucher back in December 2014 and were impressed with both the hotel and Alyth so much so that we returned in April this year (2015) and again were not in the least disappointed. The room (we had the same one both times) although not massive was clean and comfortable with an equally presentable... More

Was in for lunch with 3 friends and had a lovely meal as always. Great food and fast service. Will no doubt be back again soon. As we were in through the week I was able to use my taste card which got us 50% our food bill. Happy days

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Alyth. A quiet little town but ideally situated for Glenshee ski slopes and lots of golf courses nearby. Our room was traditionally but comfortably furnished and unlike many older hotels which are altered to include en suites, was very spacious. The food was excellent with a varied menu and service was first class.... More

Great value for a weekend golf trip in the heart of Tayside. Good food, great service from all the staff. Hard to fault for our annual weekend away. Rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast choice was very good, and dinner was excellent.
