I have reviewed this hotel twice before and can only repeat my praises of this lovely hotel and its major spectacular feature, the fabulous hall/lounge dominated by a huge log fire which never goes out. The hotel is family run with the delightful Xhosa front of house, staffed by family members and employees (special mention for their "treasure" Sandie) all...

My family and I visited Lands of Loyal yesterday and we ordered a three course meal for three people at a cost of £114.00 which included soft drinks. The service was professional and friendly and the hotel was spotlessly clean. Recommended to all.

We spent a lovely easter weekend here along with our dog. She was made to feel very welcome as we were, and we all loved the opulent great room with the fire going in the massive fireplace. All our food was really excellent - we bought two nights dinner, bed and breakfast and we loved all our meals. Kippers and...

I took my cousin to Lands of Loyal for a light lunch on Saturday and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Delicious food, attentive and professional staff and a very accommodating chef who prepared garlic bread for us despite it not being on the menu. Besides the soup and sandwich menu, there is the option to have half portions of...

We visited the hotel last Sunday for afternoon tea and were disappointed. For £18.50 a head we were expecting flourishes worthy of both the price and the hotels 4 star rating. I contacted the hotel afterwards to give feedback and have not received a reply. these are my points:- At the price we expected there to be; real tea, not...

My husband and I have a policy of never going back to the same place, there are so many other places to visit, but Lands of Loyal is the exception. This is such a fab hotel, the minute you walk in you relax, especially if you have the best scones you'll ever taste in front of the biggest fire I've...

Myself and my partner visit Land of Loyal once a year for a meal and they never let us down. Super staff! Always so welcoming and friendly. Amazing, fresh, scrumptious food! We have had a wide range of food but the steak is phenomenal. I like mine well done and my partner likes his rare and they were both cooked...

It is rare for a Hotel of this calibre to misplace a given and repeated-back telephone booking, but that's exactly what happened to our party of four on the evening of Saturday's Easter Celebrations this year (2017). We chose this restaurant especially as it's our favourite in the Alyth area. We were a bit disappointed to discover we had, if...

Given our experience we found the hotel surprisingly quiet for a Good Friday but as we had the place almost to ourselves that was a bonus perhaps. Booking almost at the last minute we were given enough a lovely big room with a four poster bed and an immaculate spacious ensuite bathroom. The hotel is sumptuously decorated throughout and the...
