There's not much I can add that hasn't already been said in other reviews, other than that we were sent off to the monkey park with stick on heat pads to keep us warm, which turned out to be a lifesaver! Just the loveliest, warmest, most relaxing experience you could ask for. Wonderful humans operating a wonderful business. The traditional...

I stayed for one night with my girlfriend. We arrived at 7pm and were welcomed so warmly by the staff. They treated us like family. They helped us take our luggage upstairs into our large and comfortable Japanese Traditional Room. The staff showed us how to wear Japanese bath robes and gave us a tour of the 3 onsite onsens...

This truly humble authentic ryokan captured our hearts on many levels. The gorgeous delicate interior spaces, superbly fitted and equipped rooms, exquisite onsen were more than charming from top to bottom. But what blew us out of the water was the depth of hospitality the extent of which we never could have imagined possible. Seifuso is owned and run by...

Reviews here are my basis for choice of ryokan and we weren't disappointed! We booked the family room good for 5 adults, with its own toilet, and it was very spacious and comfortable and had its own extension space outside of the tatami area for our slippers, luggages and some chairs & table. Inside the tatami area was our 5...

Loved it. Excellent, authentic food. Lovely hostess. Couldn't have asked for more. The accommodation was lovely, the food extremely tasty, and we were really happy with our experience. Would definitely recommend. The sight of the Snow Monkeys a short drive and walk up the mountain was unsurpassable.

Stayed in the ryokan for 2 nights. We arrived in the afternoon. Took awhile to confirm our reservation via expedia; as the host didn't have our booking. Once confirmed, the host immediately sent us to visit the snow monkeys, all the way to the starting point. Saved us some bus fare and the energy to walk up the hill. It...

We unfortunately only spend a night there. Next time we want to stay more! The room was great, comfortable and well furnished. The onsen where great too. We tried both inside and outside. The owners are very friendly and helpful, like being part of the family! We only had breakfast there but it was very nice. The hotel is just...

My boyfriend and I stayed here in Late November 2016. We took the bullet train from Tokyo to Yudanaka to see the snow monkeys and wanted to stay in a traditional ryokan. We did a bit of research and decided on this house due to the great reviews. It was even better than we imagined! Comfy clean rooms, the most...
