This review is overdue! My daughter and I stayed here after much thoughts and planning for two years. So glad we picked this hotel! We visited Yudanaka for mainly to see monkeys and didn't have much expectations about this hotel. Boy we were wrong! Being from Japan we have gone to many onsens but for all things considered this is...

This is a hotel with traditional Japanese rooms I.e. We sleep on futons and wear Yucatas. Spent one night in this hotel which has an excellent service. They provide pick up from the train station and a free shuttle to the snow monkey park. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, when I was there, the hotel restaurant was...

The hotel is located 10 minutes walk away from the station. It is also possible to walk to Jigokudani Monkey Park from the hotel ( 30-40 min walk to the entrance of the monkey park). The room had a really nice view and the staff was courteous. The room was a bit small for my liking but we slept comfortably....

A wonderful experience, from the pick-up at the station to the beautiful room overlooking the river, the lovely Japanese yukatas worn around the hotel, bathing in the hot rooftop baths as the snow fell, and the helpfulness of all the staff. I was geniunely sad to leave, as it was such an elegant and relaxing place.

What can I say, our stay at the Aburaya Tosen was an absolute joy. From the moment we walked in, and received a welcome cup of green tea while we checked in, to our departure the next day, we felt so pampered and comfortable. The rooms are beautiful, with many traditional details, tatami matting, sliding doors, and many thoughtful facilities....

We are here for only 1 night and we are very happy and satisfy with facility and service here. The price is a bit high but I think it's worth for money. They have roof top bar, very interesting. The name of the bar means snow, moon and flower, and price for drink here is very reasonable. Very good place,...

This hotel was an incredible experience from the moment we arrived at the station where a staff member of the hotel was waiting to pick us up with a shuttle to the hotel without us even requesting that service. We were greeted with a warm welcome at this beautiful hotel with green tea, shown to our beautiful room and the...

We loved this Hotel, the rooms were lovely we had a private onsen with lovely views of the river. We were expecting beds but had to giggle when we opened the door and realised this was a Tatami style Hotel. All good though our bedding was prepared while we were out for dinner. We had a good nights sleep and...

I've come twice in the past few years, both times as a couples splurge and each time has been absolutely heaven! I've happily gone out of my way to enjoy a mini-getaway here. The service is outstanding, the food's incredible and the whole place is so beautiful. I can't wait for my next visit!
